About this mod
This mod allows you to easily pick up grass (the flat stuff, not the tall stuff) as seeds, either to quickly remove grass from an area or to move/rearrange it. Also, whether there is grass or not, you can swap around dirt between its two rocky variants (which differ by footstep sound) or back to dirt at will.
- Permissions and credits
The three types of grass (regular bushlands, cold forest, or tropical) will drop one appropriate grass seed per tile (so you can move the grass but it doesn't make extra grass). It won't work if there is tall grass, so you need to scythe or otherwise break the tall grass first.
All you need to do is hold an item (which will not be consumed) and use it on the flat grass. A regular stone will create hard or "quarry" style rocky dirt, which is commonly found in large patches in the middle of bushlands near rocks and bones. A shiny stone will create softer style rocky dirt with a different footstep sound, which is commonly found along the banks of rivers. Holding a bag of cement will create normal dirt. Additionally, a sand dollar will create sand, a prickly pear will create red sand, and a mangrove stick will create mud.
This mod is particularly useful for getting rid of patches of flat grass and rocky dirt when you just want a large area of regular dirt, but it's also useful for decorating if you want to move your grass around without having to accumulate seeds first by scything for days, or you want to spice up the place with some new rocky dirt.
Note: Sometimes a particular spot on the ground will refuse to change even if it is clear of any other object. Consider using a shovel on that spot, for a nice surprise.
This is a standard BepInEx 6 mod, so follow the standard Dinkum modding instructions and put the DLL file in your plugins folder. The mod can be enabled and disabled in the config file, but you can also turn off the functionality by removing the mod, which is safe at any time because it does not affect your save file in any way.
