Any plans to update the set items? Some sets are just named SetXX, where XX is a number. Same with items of that set.

Do you know if they show up in game that way? Or is  it just in the docs?

They do show up in game iirc. I've seen items with those names.
I also noticed some Shako set item that had identical stats to the HQ Shako

Gotcha, I'll dig into it and see if I can recreate. If you happen to have a save file with one of those items with the jank name then feel free to link it on the github as an issue.

Can i play this and Better SP at the same time? If so, how?
Will this work on existing characters?

It will not work with existing characters, you'll need to create a new character unfortunately.

And check the massive merge mod on here, I believe it has merged Better SP and this mod.

Are there files in the archive I can pick and choose? I basically just want the runewords/uniques, but want to use it with other mods like better sp.

There's a merge mod on here that has merge Better SP and this mod (I believe). That might be what you're looking for.

Technically you can cherry pick files from different mods, but if both mods have changed the same file you need to intelligently merge them. Also if you take the uniques from this mod you also need to take the itemstats and properties that go with them. Assuming the mod you are trying to merge into hasn't also modified those files.

Grab the latest version. There was an issue with hireling AI in an earlier version. If you're on the latest version, what hireling are you having issues with?

I cannot get this to load, at all. I'm sure it's something I'm doing, but could someone provide guidance?
Created a folder called "mods" under my D2 Resurrected main folder (the one with the .exe in it)
unzipped the file and placed all the contents inside of said mods folder
Created a shortcut for the original .exe and named in D2r with mods.
Edited properties to include "-mod TalonrageResurrected -txt"
Launch- loads original D2R- no additional starting gear, no additional potions, seemingly no added drop rate, and none of my characters are loading into the "Saved Games" folder as mentioned below. The mod details are, but not the character data.
I even did a fresh reinstall through the launcher and it still isn't working.
And yes, I am launching a new SP character each time I edit something and test it.
Would it change anything if my D2R installation is not on my C: drive?

mod layout like this - A:\games\Diablo II Resurrected\mods\expanded\expanded.mpq\data
shortcut like this - "A:\games\Diablo II Resurrected\D2R.exe" -mod expanded -txt

works fine for me this way

The starting character changes haven't been implemented yet, so it's honestly hard to tell if the mod has loaded on a new character or not. The easiest way is to check where your save file is. I'll post an update today where characters start with the cube so that will at least give people some idea if it's loaded, and I've been meaning to make that change anyways.

Also the drop rate is somewhat subtle. It should triple the odds of finding unique / set items, but RNG can RNG so that can be hard to see in short play sessions also. Keep in mind this is all assuming you downloaded the extra drop rate version of the mod.

edit: Starting character changes are up. Grab version 0.6 - Hope it helps!

Noticed allot of the items are named *An Evil Force*.  Any plans to get the item names fixed up in the future for ease of identifying?

Are these unique or set items?

An Evil Force shows whenever the game fails to find the name of an item. I wrote a script to port over the legacy .tbl files but there may have been a bug with it.

If you got any screenshots feel free to post them.

No, it is working as intended.  I just messed it up lol.  I merged quite a few mods and the loot filter mod broke the item names for this mod so I just reverted back to vanilla loot filter.  Works fine now just hard to see all the juicy loot when playing with x10 density on players 8.

Lol, I feel it. Yeah anything that touches the item_names.json file is going to break item names for this mod. It's possible to merge those files, but it's tedious to do by hand.

If I get some free time at work this week I'll try to throw a script together for it and get back with you.

Good find, that item had a trailing space at the end of its name and was causing it to not be able to be found. I'll get it fixed in the next patch. If you find any other items that are blown up then feel free to post a bug and I'll look into it. Appreciate ya!

edit: The item name was supposed to be "Golem's Gain", fyi.

Wait!! the items arent supposed to be called an evil force ? s***! i did the same thing when merging mods. been playing for days like that now lol.. so i guess just replace item_names.json and should go back to normal. ?

Not yet. Was gonna dig into that when I get some more spare time, just to make sure his starting point (1.10) wasn't too far off from 1.14 and I accidentally unpatch skills.

i have the original drop rate files if anyone wants them(the one that would drop like 3-4 unique for andi) from the previous version of Talonrage's Mod(d2plus) seeing as this version has vanished to nowhere.

Higher Drop rate files(Put both files in mpq: https://www.mediafire.com/folder/6341b6g0fmuwv/Higher+Drop+Rate

Also, as an FYI to anyone reading this, the treasure classes are unchanged in this mod. So if you have a mod that you like that has altered drop rates you can just drop their treasureclassex.txt file into this mod and absorb those changes.

Amplify Damage curse isn't working on my necro for some reason, doesn't stick. I tested it with 2 characters, animation happens, no curse above their heads on any monsters. I had been screwing around with the Better SP mod but I don't think it would affect this one, might have though.

Good eyes. I used Excel to change that file in my laziness and ended up killing it. Shamebell.com

      I'll push a fix up.

edit: Fix is pushed. Credited ya in changelog. Appreciate ya.
