Mod that bring sounds and music from different Diablo titles, like D1, D3 (mostly).
D2RMM Sounds version added now.

Totally 1225 Sounds added.
Totally 3+ hours of Music added.

Permissions and credits
Mod that bring sounds and music from different Diablo titles, like D1, D3. I wanted more sound variations, cause you heard sounds a lot, so why not bring some from other D. games, but Its not just copied sounds - i edit them to fit timing, or pitch, sometimes mixing etc.. My main priority for now is the monsters, but i will definetly add different categories (Bow, Crossbow attack etc., added now). Anyway new sounds are played randomly, same as default ones. Music is not - longer tracks. No sounds replaced, only added (not for Legacy mode).

IF YOU LIKE MOD JUST GIVE A ENDORSMENT, THAT IS LIKE EASIEST THING YOU CAN DO, TO ACTUALLY MOTIVATE MODDER...


SOUNDS

This will be ongoin' project of course, expect little updates from time to time...

D2RMM Sounds version is added now.


Contains 1225 new sounds for: Monsters (Goatman, Skeleton, Skeleton Mage, Zombie, Fallen, Fallen Shaman)
                                                     : Combat (Bow attack/draw, Crossbow attack)
                                                     : Skill (Necromancer - Poison Nova, Corpse Explode, Skeleton Raise)

MUSIC

D2RMM Music version probably in next version..

PERSONALLY EDITED MUSIC DATABLOCKS (1/2/3) FOR ALL ADDED MUSIC (YOU MUST DOWNLOAD MAIN SOUNDS VERSION), SO (EXAMPLE) EVEN WHEN THERE IS LIKE 59 MINUTES LONG "WILDERNESS" TRACK, MUSIC WILL JUMP IN TIME...

So new version contains about 3 hours of music. Mostly for ACT 1 (like 90% finished) and some ACT 2 (25% finished), ACT4 (25% finished). Sorry i dont remember names really. It was a lot of music..
Size is about 1GB and its just Stereo, cause normally it would be like 2GB in 8 Channels, but only Vanilla music tracks are in 8 Channels, so you would basically download silence for most of music tracks.. i can upload 8 Channels (fake) version, but it will be 2 GB and its not even finished :D Let me know in comments...

INSTALLATION: (Normal version)

Copy content (folder) of The Sounds of Variation.rar to your mods folder (..\Diablo II - Resurrected\mods)
Add argument "-mod TheSoundsOfVariation -txt" to Steam, Blizzard launcher or whatever do you use (just check tutorials) or to D2R.exe shortcut.
..if you just updating, rewrite all files.

NSTALLATION: (D2RMM version) - https://www.nexusmods.com/diablo2resurrected/mods/169

Copy content (folder) of The Sounds of Variation (D2RMM version).rar to your D2RMM/mods folder and run D2RMM.exe and activate mod - install mod, run D2R or add argument "-mod D2RMM -txt" to Steam, Blizzard launcher or whatever do you use (just check tutorials) or to D2R.exe shortcut.
(change mod order if you use multiple mods that change same files [monstats.txt, monsounds.txt]), advanced settings .json for this is beyond me now.. sorry..


Version Details (Sounds):

v0.1g-FIX - Just fixed "no drops for mobs" bug, thx to deadjack133 for assistance.

v0.1g - Added 257 sounds for enemy demon "Goatman" and his variations.
            Added 130 sounds for various stuff...

...10 sounds for Bow attack, 3 sounds for Bow draw, 20 sounds for Crossbow attack, 17 sounds for Skeleton/Necromancer (Raise), 7 sounds for monster/Necromancer (Corpse Explode), 18 sounds for Necromacer (Poison Nova), 24 sounds for monster (Poison Nova), 17 sounds for Skeleton (Death), 14 sounds for Skeleton (Neutral)


v0.1f - Added final batch of 181 sounds for "Fallen"  + 20 sounds for "Fallen Shaman" (Resurrect Cast and Fireball Cast). That would be all for Fallen One kind.. maybe some uniques in future...


v0.1e (fix) - Fixed no Cast sounds for Necro's Skeleton Mage...

Enemy Skeleton Mage using unique Cast sounds now (Projectile sound is different thing) based on element (Fire, Cold, Lightning, Poison), but Necro's SM is defaultly spawned only as "necromage" (dont know how random Fire/Cold/Lightning/Poison spawning works here), so it cant use unique Cast sound like enemy version does, without actually editing some Skill file for Necromancer (etc., i think). Anyway Necro's SM use more Cast sounds now. In vanilla its only Fire Cast sounds, now its mix.. kinda. (- Cast lighting)


v0.1e - 268 sounds added for enemy undead  "Skeleton/Skeletal Mage" and his variations: 38x Neutral, 46x Get Hit, 26x Walk, 27x Death
                                                                                                                                                            23x Cast Cold, 29x Cast Poison, 35x Cast Lightning, 44x Cast Fire
            16 sounds added for Bow attack

            Mod now also use edited monsounds.txt and monstats.txt, which brings new possibilities.. like i can add unique sounds for every monster variation.
            For example "Zombie" and "Hungry Dead" (both Zombie) can use totally different soundset.


v0.1d+ - Few sound fixes and 24 sounds added for enemy undead  "Zombie" and his variations: 10x Neutral, 3x Get Hit + Unique Zombie: 11x Neutral
