there i was just playing my javazon with like 1 entire point in valkyrie and absolutely regretting it. i like having summons/followers in RPGs but she was absolutely driving me crazy. Waheed is just over there doing work, silently and politely (Thanks!) and she has to groan with every hit and make the worst noise ive ever heard when she dies.

to make things even better, blizzard's new fancy audio customization sliders with patch 2.3 do not change the volume of the valkyrie! i was kinda irritated and played with them for like 2 days every combination before just silencing her death sound + hit sounds using Audacity. this mod is perfect for when you still wanna hear quieter details of the game while still being able to watch and listen to hulu, netflix etc and not have the valkyrie groaning over the dialogue :)


installation: 

this is set up to use -direct -txt mode, but if you want to theres a quick and easy way to turn it into an MPQ mod or combining it with one youre already using. i didnt do this ahead of time for people because i hate how mods work on this game and they dont load like 50% of the time for me so your mileage may vary. i included the folder structure on this mod, but just in case put the .flac files included into this folder for D2R graphics mode:

Diablo II Resurrected\Data\hd\global\sfx\skill\amazon
and if youre one of those weirdos who plays in legacy graphics on D2R, you can do some file renaming and place the files into:

Diablo II Resurrected\Data\global\sfx\skill\amazon
for muting the legacy ARAHUHUGHUUGUH sound she's so famous for
