I noticed a variable in the coat chain files called "enum anglemode" which by default is set to "anglemode_limitcone." Switching this to "anglemode_free" allowed the coats to bend more, fold back on themselves, and generally just act more realistically, except that they also pushed the physics simulation past what it could actually handle and resulted in a lot of sticking and clipping. So I spent an unreasonable amount of time re-tuning all the other settings to find a way to make that one setting work. I don't want to say its "better" than my previous Coat Physics Redux mod, but I like it.
