Reshade for an atmospheric 2020 playthrough.

Reshade preset I made for my own replay for 2020. Shared in case someone else finds it useful.

I've tried to create a somewhat noiresque looking Detroit with darker overall feeling. In my mind Jensen is a depressive, melancholic substance abuser with growing misanthropy. This preset tries to represent how my version of Adam sees the world.

Colorscape is deeper yet bleaker than vanilla. Heavy use of ambient occlusion, since I happen to like that stuff. However, because of the darker tones, it's necessary that you have a properly calibrated monitor and in-game brightness level adjusted to your screen for the subtle dark nuances to work. Otherwise it will probably look like heavy contrasted black crap. This is not a install-and-forget preset, you will most likely have to fine tune it to your liking. Or not. Your mileage may vary. I suggest to fiddle with the effects and use this preset as a base to make your Deus Ex HR your own.

One downside of this darker atmosphere is that the "npc glow" is more visible, if someone has ideas about disabling that annoying glow I'd appreciate hearing them.

REQUIREMENTS...

Current Reshade (version 4.5.3 as of now) by crosire
Quintessential shader collection for ReShade by Marty McFly

...and installation

1) Configure your Deus Ex HR for DX11. No exceptions, this preset will NOT work with DX9.

2) Install the aforementioned stuff as described per their respective pages.

3) Download my package and unzip it in the Deus Ex HR root folder. Overwrite when applicable.

----

By default, this preset is very resource heavy (-30fps on 2080ti.) However, you can happily disable the more intensive stuff like SSR, PPFX SSDO and MXAO and gain loads of fps. SSR especially is an aquired taste, it creates heaps of screen artifacts which are... well,  fugly. But when it works, its gorgeous.

This is the first time I've released anything remotely modding related and I appreciate any constructive feedback. However, if you just want to be mean, please move along and let this fade into obscurity.
