NecroFX
This is a personal ReShade I've had for a long while. With me heavily breathing over the coming Dead Space 1 remake I thought I'd make it publicly available.
Uses a laundry lists of techniques that I can't quite remember, check it out in the editor and tinker with whatever you like. It does however use RTGI by Marty McFly so disable that if you don't have access to it.
Overall gives the game a darker, grittier feel while remaining true to the original colour pallete and style. No over the top bloom and the depth of field does not get in the way of any UI.
Check out the pictures to see if you like it, and if you do, have a blast playing the classic with a slightly fresh lick of paint before the remake scares us all shitless.
and hey, if the remakes a flop, at least you have this now :)
BORING TECH STUFF
Installation:
Using your handy ReShade GUI, usually opened by pressing the HOME key in-game, then from the preset selection menu, select my ReShade Preset. Disable RTGI if you don't have it (although I think it should disable automatically, idk.) and you're good to go :)
Otherwise, just replace the default preset (The file called 'ReShade.ini') that comes preinstalled with ReShade with mine.
Performance
I built this preset on my old banger of a PC a few years back. 8 GB of RAM, an FX8320 and a 980Ti could run it at 60, so I'm sure most modern setups will eat this for breakfast.
Other
Preset built using ReShade 4.9.1 and RTGI 0.2 something.
This is an ancient file from back when a Dead Space remake was but a pipe dream.
Might update using latest ReShade versions to ensure everything works smoothly, we'll see.
Could probably port over the sweetfx preset to latest versions of ReShade and RTGI to see if it works, give it a whirl.
