11/12/2024: Just checked, compatible with the base DOW2 Vanilla / CR / Retribution, Elite and Eternal. Codex and other mods not tested.
>> What is this?
- Sweetfx is graphics enhancement tool that predates ReShade.
- This version uses SweetFX V1.5.1.
- I just like using SweetFx because it is less invasive than ReShade. You can also use Reshade if you prefer.
- Improves the sharpness of models, shadows etc.
- Better AA than the in-game settings (which is horrible and makes performance worst). Turn off the game's native AA.
NOTE: I DO NOT KNOW IF THIS WORKS FOR THE GOG VERSION. NOT TESTED.
>> How to Use
- First, extract the files from .rar file using WinRar.
- Second, copy and paste everything to the DOW2 Retribution folder.
Default Folder Path:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Dawn of War II - Retribution
- Optional: Adjust your settings if you want in the "SweetFX_settings.txt"..
- Launch the game!
Note:
- You can safely make the changes while you are gaming when you alt-tab out of the game, and save the changes.
- I cannot remember if this works for DOW2 Vanilla and Chaos Rising. Test at your own risk.
SweetFX belongs to the origjnal creators. This is just a preset and easy drop and play version of the game with just my minimal changes.
