Step 1: Download "DSR Texture Packer and Unpacker" (link -> https://www.nexusmods.com/darksoulsremastered/mods/9?tab=description) It says that you need to download a bunch of stuff to use it, but i didn't and it worked fine for me. Note that i have windows 10 with the latest updates. Extract the DSR Texture Packer to your desktop using winrar, then open DSR-TPUP with administrator. Make sure that it finds your game directory at the top.
Step 2: Without extracting the Ps4 mod folder open it with winrar, drag the "font" file into "Texture Override" in the DSR Texture Packer folder. Then open DSR-TPUP, click on the "Repack" tab, then click on "Repack" at the bottom. It should say "Repacked 7 textures in 7 files!" At the bottom when its done. Launch the game and see if it works.
if anyone is getting "repacked 0 textures in 0 files" change the override directory to the "Texture Override" in the DSR Texture Packer folder, before its just said "Texture Override" without the files before it , that fixed it for me
Hello and thanks for your work. The options and share buttons are cut off on the sides, and R1, L1, R2 and L2 have weird transparencies that don't align with their actual shape. Are you planning on fixing it? Cheers.
So I added the mod and now my PS4 controller isn't working? Like steam detects my ps4 controller is connected but it just doesn't work for dark souls? I'll uninstall and reinstall dark souls but I don't know what went wrong?
Just wanted to say that you can implement PS buttons in Steam by turning OFF PlayStation 4 controller support in settings. This makes rumble not.work anymore, though.

Not what the mod does. If you turn of Steam controller support it stops behaving like an Xbox controller (I.E. Xinput Gamepad) and starts using the native support. Many new pc games natively support the ps4 controller. This game supports it rather weakly with no vibration because they just used the direct input controls instead of hacking into the controller itself. What this mod this is changes everything, even xbox controller icons to playstation. When you use Steam controller support you are making your ps4 controller into an xbox controller which because they use Xinput, have vibration enabled. Jeez do some research would you.
I think you misinterpreted what I said. For this game on PC it doesn't really make sense. When you play using PlayStation Configuration Support in Steam controller settings - you get rumble but XBox icons when using BlueTooth and DS4 controller. If you use Native Support you get PS4 icons but no rumble when using BlueTooth and DS4 controller.
I was saying that this mod is the only way to get PS4 icons and rumble on Steam when using DS4 over BlueTooth. You have to choose PlayStation Configuration Support in Steam Big Picture mode settings to get rumble to work, but that gives you XBox icons, so you have to mod in the PS4 icons.
I'm not wrong about this I just tested this myself 2 seconds ago and it still holds true a year later. It doesn't really seem to make sense, or at least it is pretty darn confusing since PlayStation Configuration Support sounds like it would enable the built-in PS4 icons that ship with the game assets.
This mod doesn't work for me, can you please add an install guide because maybe I'm just being an idiot. (I just dropped the files into my font folder)
