Hii, this mod is amazing. I know I'm late to the party, but is there any way you could tell me which files affect the player character? there's a crazy black seam in the female characters neck, and instead of demanding you to fix it (ik its stated in the bugs section) id rather just install everything else and make a pixelated character model myself.

thank you for your work <3

this mod make the game lighter? My computer doesn't run the remastered version of Dark Souls as well, so I wanted to know if this mod makes the game lighter

yes it does, i tried this mod in my second  laptop. But there are still a few slowdown in some area, such as blighttown's first bonfire area. Though it's not as bad as before.
    2. It does reduce the file size of many things, so in general it should load faster meaning less lag when moving around (at least I assume). Some people have attested that the difference is noticeable, so I'd say "Yes".

Actually, is the 2018 remaster, so it makes sense. And the 2011 version has bad PC compatibility. it's still there

Since the player models still need some work, could you share which file(s) are related to those textures so that I can leave the original ones in place?

This is one of my favorite mods of all time. Every game needs a mod like this.

Using this as well as a buncha reshade shaders, and lowest 4:3 ratio resolution possible, I made a really nice PS2 demake resource pack. The only thing I can't figure out is how to make the game use bilinear filtering on the textures like the ps2 does.

Is there a way to enforce that? Or is it because you upscaled the textures using point-filter to insure pixel-like clarity? If the latter, then I'd probably have to downscale all the textures manually and at that point I think I'll just take what I got so far.

In any case, let me know if I can do something to reach my goal. Thanks for the great mod!
(it also makes the game size comparable to a ps2 game size as well, which is kinda cool!)
    1. Yeah, sorry, the game does actually use bilinear filtering by default so my textures are downscaled then upscaled to original res with point filtering so it looks pixelated. There'd be no quick way to make these look bilinear filtered besides me regenerating the textures, which I could do as an optional version. I can try that out after I'm done my Demon's Souls project, since my code has changed and gotten way better, I can actually make a better version of the existing mod as well as this option.

Wow! I never expected that! Honestly, if it's not too much trouble, I'd greatly appreciate that <3
Either way I'm just happy you responded.
If that ends up happening, would you be okay with it if I uploaded my results and gave you credit? (and any other modders of course)
    3. Yeah that would be cool to see!

Need help. When mod is installed, my game won't exit the loading screen. After pressing continue is stays in the loading screen infinitely (It's not frozen as the loading icon keeps playing and tips keep changing).
I do think it might have something to do with the mod, as I launch the game without it and it loaded fine.
Any idea what the issue could be?

Same here. Tried with and without low poly models, with and without SFX/music. Still the same issue.
    2. That's the behavior when the game can't load something properly. Was it the gameboy version or the regular version? Also is your Dark Souls a steam copy or something else?

Hi! This is absolutely gorgeous! I'm super excited to see your plans to give the other games in the franchise a similar visual overhaul! Are there any plans to also add button prompts in the same style? Or is there maybe another mod that does this?

Another question, would you consider adding compatibility for mods like Sinners of Lordran or maybe even Age of Sunlight?

I've looked a little bit more - I see that the button prompts were part of the font folder - which I removed after a little while because I struggled to read the text.

Would you be willing to share your script for making this mod? So that we could make compatability patches for other mods ourselves? If not, no worries! I'm super grateful that you were willing to share what you already have with us :D
    2. Hello, I might make a tool to allow customization of the pixelization algorithm and the ability to use it with existing mods present, which would make it compatible with other mods. There is a public repo of the code I used to make this, but it's not very user friendly and is also quite out of date. I just need to push my changes but I am sort of waiting because there's some surprises in my new version that I haven't shown off yet.
