For those wondering, here's the more detailed instructions when using DS3 Mod Engine: https://www.nexusmods.com/darksouls3/mods/332
1. Install DS3 Mod Engine and follow the instructions (copy dinput8.dll and modengine.ini in your Dark Souls III Game folder).
2. Open modengine.ini and change loadLooseParams=0 to loadLooseParams=1.
3. Create a "mod" folder in your Game folder.
4. Create a "parts" folder inside the "mod" folder you just created.
5. Drop this mod's files, the 4 files that end with "partsbnd.dcx" in the "parts" folder you just created.
That's it! It will override the appearance of the Knight's armor which you can see when creating a new game and picking the Knight class.
Couple of key points to keep in mind:
a. Using DS3 Mod Engine means you gotta play offline.
b. By default, DS3 Mod Engine also create separate saves so this means you'll have to start a new game if you weren't using DS3 Mod Engine before.
c. If you wish to override the appearance of another armor, just renamed the ID portion of the mod files inside the "parts" folder to whatever armor you wish to replace based on the following IDs: https://gist.github.com/MaxTheMiracle/8a55333ebaf454b97195aecb0563ebd8
I recommend this method because you can still play online with people and not get banned. UXM Method
1. Download UXM. 2. Run the UXM EXE. ---C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\DARK SOULS III\Game\DarkSoulsIII.exe is where you put the path. Unpack and wait. 3. Once the folders are unpacked, open the Harros the Vassal zip file and extract the files into \DARK SOULS III\Game\Parts. Overwrite when prompted. 4. Patch your Dark Souls III executable with UXM when done adding the mod to parts. I recommend you patch again whenever you add more mods. Mods that edit the parts folder and only change appearance will not get you banned. Anything else I wouldn't touch. UI mods are usually safe. Same for the "blood on clothes like bloodborne" mod as long as you use the "data0" version. not the mod engine version.
""am_f_4500.partsbnd"" The 4 numbers in the Haros the Vassel extracted dcx files are the armor/weapon the models will replace. Use the gitgub link he has in the description to change the numbers to the gear that you want.
the installation instructions are very poor, there is no BloodBorneWeapons folder and the instructions have nothing to do with the files included in the Harros folder.
The prices on your patreon are ridiculous, of course. For $ 300 a month, you have to give your ass up for ownership. And, of course, give access to some of the mod only for the money - it's disgusting. You just transferred someone else's model to another game, and you're asking for money for it. If I were From Software, I would show you your place.
lol, you can have stuff like this, (that im sure you already downloaded by the looks of it,) and you can always opt for 5 us a month and have everything, but instead you like to hate on free content , because you lack the knowledge and or money to get exactly what you want :) so please, go hate on someone else work, i like mine to be free from people like you and as a side note, is people like you, that made me open the patreon in the first place, always wanting more for free..... So go (place polite word instead of what you think here) your self, and let the people here be happy Have a nice day
