This mod lets you experience Dark Souls III on a mirrored map while preserving the original UI and controls.
(Controller required, K&M controls are currently not supported)
How to install:
- Unpack and patch your game using UXM by following the instructions on the tools nexus page: https://www.nexusmods.com/sekiro/mods/26
- Drag and drop the "Game" folder included in this mod into your Dark Souls III directory (../Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\DARK SOULS III\) if asked to override any files, confirm.
- You can now launch the game as usual and enjoy the mod.
How to uninstall:
- Delete the following files:
DINPUT8.dll
MirrorMod.dll
- Verify the integrity of your game files via Steam. This will restore the remaining files to factory state.
Troubleshooting:
- The game is not mirrored but my controls are reversed:
You might have forgotten to unpack and patch your game with UXM.
- The game is mirrored but the controls are reversed:
Are you using keyboard and mouse controls? K&M controls are not directly supported. You can make it work by rebinding your left/right movement keys and reversing the camera x-axis in the in-game settings.
This shouldn't happen when using a controller but as a last resort you can still fix this by reversing the camera x-axis in the game settings and reversing the x axis on the sticks.
- Controller not working at all:
Make sure to launch the game through Steam, launching the exe directly might cause issues. Double check that the controller works without the mod installed, it might not be a problem with the mod. Try using DS4Windows instead Steam's build-in controller support or vice versa.
- The game crashes on launch:
Make sure you are using a legit steam copy on the latest patch. Other game versions are not supported and might cause issues.
Compatibility with other mods:
- If you want to use this mod together with other mods I recommend you use a mod manager like DS3 mod engine. This will allow you to load the shader files and MirrorMod.dll directly. DINPUT8.dll will not be required in that case.
