Version 0.5 - Enhanced lighting and shadows
Version 0.5 has a couple of big improvements.
The first one is available only to people who use the ModEngine method (prob most people). The shadowmap resolution is now greatly increased. Here is what the values are set to by default (in modengine.ini):
directionalShadowResolution = 16384
dynamicAtlasShadowResolution = 16384
dynamicPointShadowResolution = 4096
dynamicSpotShadowResolution = 8192
It is not recommended to set dynamicPointShadowResolution or dynamicSpotShadowResolution higher than these values, or some of the corresponding shadows will start to break down. If these values are too high for your hardware and you are experiencing performance issues, you can lower the values. If you still want a big improvement but not go compl... -

Version 0.4 released - Improved lightshafts and DoF
A big new update for InfiniDetail. All credit goes to Ragevitamins (author of the excellent Dark Souls 2 Lighting Engine mod/framework) for giving me this specifically for this mod.
The stock shaders that Dark Souls 2 Scholar Of The First Sin uses for postprocessing effects like lightshafts have been enhanced. Sample count has been increased from 8 (the default game cap, rather low by today's standards) to 24. This leads to less pixelated lightshafts as you can see in this picture.
However, while playing the game, I noticed that there have been more improvements as a result of this change.
Depth Of Field (DoF) looks significantly better now. It produces an almost bokeh-like effect now in the distance. Normally my personal preference for playing any of th... -

This mod does the following:
Reduce/eliminate texture LOD (Level of Detail)
Increase draw distances, less pop-in of mappieces and objects
Draw some mappieces that were inside the level files but never rendered ingame
This mod takes a conservative and disciplined approach. It does not seek to alter
the game's look, it does not add additional lighting, it does not remove spot lights or
remove baked shadows. In other words, it tries to look authentic to the original game,
and yet a still noticeable visual upgrade.
NOTE: Mappieces that have shadow source/target disabled have not been altered.

Dark Souls 2 SOTFS Selfless giver achievement (max-out to covenants)

HOW TO INSTALL:
WARNING: Installation isn't simply copy-pasting. Read the few steps or it won't work.
1- Locate your saved game : go to C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\DarkSoulsII\01100001018e7410;
2- Backup your saved game : copy-paste it and rename it something like DS2SOFS0000 - Original.sl2;
3- Don't overwrite your old file yet, instead, start Dark Souls II SOTFS;
4- Open the "Continue" screen with your own characters present but don't click on one;
5- Now, overwrite your old saved game with the new downloaded file;
6- Try to load one of your own characters, it will fail, telling its corrupted or something;

1. Download the mod from the 'Download' tab or the GitHub mirror.

Hi everyone, there were an absolute ton of changes in v1.25, and I wanted to add a post to talk about each portion of the changelog that might need more explaining:
(note - v1.26 fixed an issue with summon signs introduced in v1.25)
Fixed a bug that caused bottom-left and bottom-right aligned display's wex icon and session timer overlap
This was just an alignment issue, and should be fixed now. No one mentioned it but it was pointed out to me in testing and it was a bit annoying. The alignment of each overlay position should now be more consistent
Fixed a bug that caused a crash dump to be generated on exit
When the mod exits and unloads, I forgot to stop one portion of the mod before unloading it. This is now fixed
