About this mod

ENB preset that aims to improve the dark areas of Dark Souls 2, and add some flair to the rest.

Permissions and credits
I don't like how washed out, gray, and bright the base Dark Souls 2 is, so I spent a good few hours playing with ENB until I was happy with how the game looked. Some people requested my preset so I might as well post it here in case anyone else is interested.

Installation:
1. Go to ENBdev and download the current version of the Dark Souls 2 ENB.
2. Extract the contents to your Dark Souls 2 Game directory (the folder with the game's .exe in it, default is /Steam/steamapps/common/Dark Souls 2/Game/)
3. Download this mod, extract it to the Game folder, and overwrite the file it's replacing.
4. Launch the game. If the ENB information shows at the top left of your screen when the game starts, then it's fully functioning.

This adds AO, toys with the game's lighting (mostly in dark areas to make the torch a bit more useful), and most importantly, DOESN'T include the ridiculous DoF that most people uploading these presets apparently love to use. There is a touch of bloom, but it's as inoffensive as I can make it.

Most areas are basically the same, but there's a few that are very different because of the darkness. Huntsman's Copse and No-Man's Wharf are now very difficult to navigate without a torch, for example.

It's not without issues, however. Bright effects (almost exclusively pyromancy) make ENB freak out and gray the screen. I'm trying to find a solution to this problem, but until then, it's just an issue that's going to be part of the package.

I'm still looking to refine this, so I appreciate any and all feedback. Give me a shout here or on YouTube if you have any advice or find lighting settings that look better!

Thanks for looking, and I hope this makes Dark Souls 2 more enjoyable for you.
