    Okay, to all those people that fear VAC bans I will tell you my experience which of course is not all that counts but what makes me feel there are lots of people around that want to spread some chaos.

    I own Chivalry Medieval Warfare, DayZ, Shogun TW, War of the Roses and all of them are VAC protected.
    I used both ENB (generic ENB version) and GEM on all of those games since ages and got never any VAC ban or something like that. I didnt even know something like this exists since I heard of it from all the people now running around and keep telling everyone they will get banned.

    Anyway just my two cents.

    Of course I could never test GeDoSaTo on any of those games.

    Here also some post from another guy::
    "Calm down ppl no one will get banned for using sweetfx,GeDoSaTo, ENB or controller emulators like motionjoy or x360ce, Valve knows this tools. There are no reports of anyone getting banned for them so far and some ppl use them for years now
    A Valve employee in regards to sweetfx: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showpost.php?p=34023232&postcount=8
    should be the same for GeDoSaTo, ENB since they work in the same way"

    From the SweetFX creator::
    "Just found this on Reddit. Seems that SweetFX is safe considering that it was never cause for a VAC ban.

    SweetFX does not inject data into the EXE of the game.
    While people call the shader mods injectors, they are not code injectors in the original meaning of the word, in that they do not inject code into another process, but have their own separate process.
    SweetFX is a set of shaders that run using the InjectSMAA dlls which is a Direct3D proxy dll that redirects the Direct3D render surface to another surface and then runs an extra shader pass on that surface before returning the output to the backbuffer.
    VAC rules does not explicitly state that this is allowed, but neither does it state that this is not allowed.
    Since Valve have never explicitly stated that it is allowed, it remains a grey area, but in the two years that such shader mods have existed no one have ever been banned for using them.
    VAC seems to only detect things which can be used to cheat and shader mods such as FXAA tool and SweetFX can not be used to cheat.

    From another person::
    "Like i said, VAC hasnt ever banned for D3D intercepts (which is what Sweetfx, ENB, GeDoSaTo, ETC are, VAC cant even ban for controller emulators of configurators because they dont access memory, VAC ONLY checks for memory editing, which NONE of those tools do, also texture replacing is NOT memory editing so you wont get VAC'd for that either.
    Another note VAC run inside the steam client, you will get banned FROM ANY VAC secured game if you modify memory without having a undetected VAC bypass in place first, IE people who cheat engine 10000 cracked red eye orbs in offline then go on an invading spree AFTER this addition WILL get banned after about 2 weeks, people who have done this before this change wont however, BUT from did say they have a team/tool (dont remember which) that random checks users files for impossible changes, such as 99 all stats with 10k soul memory, or SL1 with 99 all stats, or 100 cracked red eye orbs on a non NG+ file."
