About this mod

A simple mod that changes drop rate for all covenant items in the game. There's a variety of rates for you to choose from to better serve how much of the farming aspect you want to reduce.

Permissions and credits
SUMMARY

This mod lets you choose the drop rate of the covenant items from enemies that drop them. Additionally, it also makes these enemies, and these enemies only, to be able to drop more than one item at a time, which makes their drops more consistent.

DROP RATES
*NOTE: The value you choose will be the same for all covenant drops on all affected enemies. Base value in unmodded game is 1% in most cases*

- 2.5%
- 5.0%
- 7.5%
- 10.0%
- 12.5%
- 15.0%
- 17.5%
- 20.0%
- 25.0%
- 50.0%
- 75.0%
- 100.0%

AFFECTED ENEMIES LIST

SUNLIGHT MEDAL

- Falconer
- Mounted Overseer

RAT TAIL

- Corpse Rat
- Mongrel Rat

DRAGON SCALE

- Black Dragon Knight
- Imperfect

AWESTONE
*NOTE: Normally certain enemies only drop awestones when the player is actively part of the Company of Champions covenant, with a few exceptions. This specific drop is handled differently than normal ones, and I don't know how to change it yet. Because of this I added awestones as a regular drop to these enemies. This drop is unrelated to the Company of Champions unique one and will happen regardless if the player is part of the covenant or not.*

INSTALLATION

METHOD 1:

Simply replace the 'enc_regulation.bnd.dcx' on your game folder by the mod one. Keep a backup of the original one. Each different drop rate has a unique 'enc_regulation.bnd.dcx' file, be sure to chose the one you want correctly.
*UNINSTALL: Replace the modded file with the original one*

METHOD 2:

Simply put the modded 'enc_regulation.bnd.dcx' file inside the mod folder of your Mod Engine. You can get Mod Engine for Dark Souls 2 here -> Mod Engine for Dark Souls II
*UNINSTALL: Delete all Mod Engine files and mod folder*

ONLINE USE

You should not have this mod active when playing online, a red flag can be detected by Mod Engine code injection or altered game files. My recommendation is to farm everything you want offline, and then you won't have use for the mod anymore, and can get back to play online without it. You should not get banned by playing online with the save file you farmed on afterwards, but there's always a risk with these things, I can't promise anything.

MERGING

I have a tutorial on how to merge regulation files for Dark Souls II mods here ->

Params changed:

HOW ABOUT THE PVP COVENANTS THAT REQUIRES F*KING 500 PVP KILLS?

I made a mod that reduces these requirements, here -> Reasonable Covenant Ranks

WHAT ABOUT THE MAD WARRIOR?

I also made a mod to farm him more consitently, here -> WIP

THIS WAS MADE AND TESTED USING SOTFS, SHOULD WORK WITH VANILLA BUT UNTESTED
