Dark Souls Region Filter tool
BIG FAT WARNING: READ AND UNDERSTAND THIS
This tool needs to and will hook, detour and fuck with Dark Souls steam_api.dll in order to override FROMSoft default region filtering (worldwide).
Dark Souls does not implement any form of VAC at the moment, but you should choose carefully whether to use this tool or not regardless.
I cannot assure you are not risking a ban (or worse) by running this, therefore use this tool at your own discretion.
Do not hold me responsible for anything that could happen.
What it is
This tool will allow you to arbitrarily set your region filter to one of the four allowed by Steam:
- Close, only lobbies in the same immediate region
- Default, only lobbies in the same region or nearby regions
- Far, lobbies about half-way around the globe
- Worldwide, lobbies from all around the world
How to run it
- unpack wherever
- run DSRF.exe
- run Dark Souls
- choose your region and click "Apply"
You cannot change your region mid-game. If you desire to:
- exit the game
- close the tool
- restart the game
- restart the tool
- choose your new region and click "Apply"
