You need Dsfix applied and working to use this mod.

This is a re-texture of the original texture map of the Knight Shield.

Simply extract the texture image, and place it into your tex-override folder which is located in the dsfix folder.

The color meaning of the re-texture is based on the medieval heraldic color scheming of the shield known as blazoning.
In this reference, the color "orange" is understood to mean "worthy ambition",
and the color "black" supposedly means "constancy and grief".

Supposedly, the quadrants of the shield in this case represent the marriage, or bond:

The upper left and bottom right like-colors of the blazon represent the husband,
and upper right and bottom left like-colors represent the wife. In this case, of course, the husband aspect of the blazoning is that of a worthy ambition (cause you need it to take on the challenges in THIS game, lol), and the wife aspect of the blazoning is the constancy and grief; both of these married together (of course).

And fittingly, the default dragon in the center crest is said to represent protection over one's self and treasures.
I just free-willingly gave the center crest a marble-like appearance. Personal taste and touch.

This mod is for aesthetic gratification only, obviously. The shield still has it's default stats and what-not.
