I've uploaded a new version where all textures are DXT1 instead.. try that one and let me know if it fixed the stutters or if there are problems with it.
Thanks for the fast answer and your effort man. I tried it... still stutter. I also find a third texture causing problems: b384fc14.dds. Hopefully thats all.
ok, then it's probably related to the DSfix itself since nothing (neither resolution or even texture format) seems to matter.
The "problem textures" seems to be the ones that are the main textures of the mod that are used quite often (grass etc), while it works for the textures that are rarely used, or you just didn't get to areas where they are in use yet.
It's odd though since i had absolutely zero problems with stutter when i tried it many years ago on a low-end graphics card (would be rated low-end by todays standards). My guess is that something changed with Dsfix or it's a driver issue or similar.
thanks, i deleted these 3 files n it got rid of the worse stutters.
crazy how i can be on a 3800x, 1660 super, n barely use any o my system at all(gpu at 54%, cpu at 7 or 8%)... but still get microstutter if i use this mod lol. i endorsed anyway tho
I've had a look through the posts and it seems noone is having the same issue as me so I think its just my noobery when it comes to PC gaming thats stopping me here.
I'm getting no stuttering at all, stable framerate, but around the thicker tufts of grass (like in Firelink Shrine) there's a dark blur that makes it hard to make out individual blades of grass. It seems to jiggle as I walk past them so is it somehow I've not deleted the original texture and its trying to load both, is it my Aliasing/SSAO/Filtering settings messing with this? I can email pics and screenshots or clips on request if you don't have any suggestions.
I know this is old, but for future reference to anyone have the blurry grass bug - turn AO strength off and try setting AO scale to medium or low in your DSFix.ini (in your DATA folder.) That should fix it. If not, try the low res version of the mod with the same settings.
Hi, I would like to convert it to Remastered. I don't have the original game, can someone that has it send me the original textures that are replaced please ? [email protected]
