I've had a look through the posts and it seems noone is having the same issue as me so I think its just my noobery when it comes to PC gaming thats stopping me here.

I'm getting no stuttering at all, stable framerate, but around the thicker tufts of grass (like in Firelink Shrine) there's a dark blur that makes it hard to make out individual blades of grass. It seems to jiggle as I walk past them so is it somehow I've not deleted the original texture and its trying to load both, is it my Aliasing/SSAO/Filtering settings messing with this? I can email pics and screenshots or clips on request if you don't have any suggestions.

You sure you're not just describing the SSAO effect? Disable that option in Dsfix.ini and see if you're still seeing that.

Just tried the "old" (tested) version and it worked perfectly on my ancient PC. Thanks!

Saw this just after looking at the Skyrim version completely unaware you made them both.

For all people who have stutter problems: delete 2c74f417.dds and 67347163.dds! This fixes the issue for me so far.

I've uploaded a new version where all textures are DXT1 instead.. try that one and let me know if it fixed the stutters or if there are problems with it.

Thanks for the fast answer and your effort man. I tried it... still stutter. I also find a third texture causing problems: b384fc14.dds. Hopefully thats all.

ok, then it's probably related to the DSfix itself since nothing (neither resolution or even texture format) seems to matter.

The "problem textures" seems to be the ones that are the main textures of the mod that are used quite often (grass etc), while it works for the textures that are rarely used, or you just didn't get to areas where they are in use yet.

It's odd though since i had absolutely zero problems with stutter when i tried it many years ago on a low-end graphics card (would be rated low-end by todays standards). My guess is that something changed with Dsfix or it's a driver issue or similar.

Would you remake all of the flora?
I ripped 79 flora textures (some duplicates) 59 of them are not in the pack.
If you want i can zip it and upload it to dropbox

also there are very nice Resource packs in the skyrim section (Hoddminir Plants and Trees) wich you are allowed to use

No problems with the mod, but didnt used the dds, convert to png (and pngoptimizer > 17,3mb)

i can't promise anything, but sure, you can upload the package.

hmm might have to try .png's then, hopefully that's the issue.

Thank you for looking into it!

Usually you can reduce your normalmaps to 8bit without big quallity lose, but a fraction of the size
Also I recommend NormalmapGenerator by Theverat on Github. Its simple to create clean normalmaps without artifacts (also spec. etc)

I also think the only reason to stutter is a bottleneck, ether in code or hardware, if you tryed eveythink in a small size, and it still shutters, than the dsfix has a problem
(to mention: My Specs i5 6500, gtx 960, 16gb ram)

      Thanks, i'll take a look.

Buy you're saying it's not causing stutter for you when you are using .png? i guess it could be a problem with streaming the .dds files.

That is right, the shuttering stops with png, but if i add more files (usally hires until more than ~20mb) its starts for me, so i think you are right it might be the texture streaming/replacment being to slow on modern devices, I guess?

Aam jensen is equiped with modern devieces so you should do the same for Your PC.

@vurt Thank you for your mod it is awsome, I would like to see more beautiful plants in Dark souls.
If You have the courage to so it, you will make at least one person happy .
Is it complicate to edit textures and models? Where can I find a good tutorial?

didnt stutter for me when i created it 4 years ago, and i had nothing that comes even close to a single 980ti, so obviously it's on your end or its on the "hack"'s end that handles the textures etc, maybe something changed since i last used it (some 4 years ago).

It's causing stutter for me too. I tested all my mods one at a time and as soon as this is active I have stuttering. GTX 1070 here, sitting at about 50% load +SSD etc etc.

Same Problem for me too... man i realy want to use this awesome textures

Edit: I think I find the textures who are causing the problems: 67347163.dds and 2c74f417.dds. I have no problems so far after deleting them.
