Is there any way to get the humanity circle without overriding some of the other options? The way it's set up in the current version looks weird, with the floating numbers, but version 2 file doesn't look nice enough to justify overwriting my transparent HUD. The May 1st screenshot would be perfect, but doesn't have the polished rest of the HUD.

I was wondering if it were possible to merge files easily, as I don't know how modding works in Dark Souls. In, say, Skyrim, I could just find the humanity circle texture and replace it with one I liked. But Dark Souls looks like it stores more than one texture per file, which kinda crimps my plans.

I don't want a custom file, just knowledge.

And for the record, I love this HUD (just not the humanity counter ).

the humanity circles are in the "main" texture (the one with the hud-life/stamina bar/item boxes)
get the main mod and the version 2(it's under optional) .
open e3e2582d.png in paint.net or photoshop(paint.net is easier for what you need) from both the main mod and the optional file.
select the humanity counter /circle parts from the optional version and add them to the main texture-basically just copy-paste).
delete d39537.png to get the numbers from the optional version(if you already have it in the override folder)

Thank you, that was exactly what I wanted, and it worked beautifully.

Wow.... why does it seem to be so many Dark Souls modders are assholes like this? People ask if there's a way to make the mod work in the way they'd like (kind of the point of modding a game), and modders lose their s#*!, it's crazy... Your account has been closed and you won't get to read this unfortunately, but if you want to truly be offended, I'm here as someone who thinks your mod is outright bad and pointless so prepare your anus. Who tf wants the HUD covering the central area of the screen? Yeah let's have the HUD, in the way of the gameplay, how about leave it at the corners/edges of the screen? Wtf is immersive about covering the central part of the screen with HUD? Nothing, it's just your s#*! taste lmao

Is there an easy way to delete this mod without reinstalling my game? I think this is crashing my game when I load a save for some reason. I also have the HD texture mod with AA turned off and it is still crashing, so I don't think its that. I also have a mod that changed the menu background and the music, but it can't be that since it doesn't crash in the menu.

Btw, I would love to use HUD mods, but my problem is bosses health bars are glitched. Like part of it is cut, moved to the side and blurred. It just really bothers me when playing, is their any way to fix it?

Wanted to thank you for leaving the prior version up for download. I think it's blends in better to the medieval theme and I'm not a fan of the missing humanity circle. I know your tastes differ as do I think a good number of people here, so you didn't have to leave that version here. Again, thank you for doing so anyway.

Thanks a lot for the hard work DH~ yeah it's pretty hard for me to get invaded now, but personally I still prefer DKS1 over DKS2.
I've been busy watching FIFA lol, but thanks again for all your contributions to the community. Cheers!

I agree with Toxic. But when DS1 migrates to Steamworks, prepare your characters...

Anyone know what would cause double boss health bars?

    Screenshot example:

I have this same exact issue with the DSfix when I enable HUD modifications, when it's disabled they look fine.

    In response to post #15048091.

well i guess that answered your question Xealot never tested the dsfix hud mod myself...

Thanks for the quick replies!  Setting "enableHudMod" to 0 in dsfix.ini seems to have fixed the problem for me as well.

I found some posts on another mod (Health Bar Usability Tweaks) by DavidSid where he did some extensive testing and it seems that using any of the DSFix HUD options can cause boss health bar bugs.

Check out this image for his results: http://static-4.nexusmods.com/15/mods/162/images/447-1-1375473218.jpg
