About this mod

A simple MOD aimed to restore some of the cut (but usable) content and fix some of the ugly stuff left by FromSoftware around the game's locations. Think about it as some kind of unofficial patch, but take in mind that I had to take some licenses when implementing some of the features.

A simple MOD aimed to restore some of the cut (but usable) content and fix some of the ugly stuff left by FromSoftware around the game's locations. Think about it as some kind of unofficial patch, but take in mind that I had to take some licenses when implementing some of the features. The engine and scripting language is pretty unknown to me and I'm not too versed in this kind of stuff!

I did this mainly for myself, but also for the community's enjoyment, so you can use this MOD as base to make yours if you want.

 CHANGE LIST
  • Restored Mage Smith Armor Set (sold by Rickert of Vinheim)
  • Restored Elite Cleric Armor Set (dropped by Petrus of Thorolund after he kills Reah of Thorolund)
  • Restored Lift Chamber Key (dropped by Crestfallen Warrior in both of his encounters)
  • Restored Gwynevere's Talisman (found inside the empty chest in Darkmoon Tomb)
  • Added Ring of the Cursed (Ingward has it equipped, drops it when killed)
. (before Ring of Blind Ghosts, now gives a permanent Transient Curse effect)
  • Added Ring of Displacement (found in a restored corpse in New Londo Ruins)
. (different than the original, now has a chance to ignore damage and breaks when removed)
  • Closed lift chamber door in Firelink Shrine (can be opened with Master Key or Lift Chamber Key)
  • Restored Gravelord Nito's breakable parts mechanic (now he is a real challenge)
. (due to some limitations, there is no "parts" per se, so the parts break doing direct damage)
  • Every NPC wears his correspondent helmet (except Patches)
. (got this from Design Works book and Dark Souls 3)
  • Oswald of Carim drops the Book of the Guilty directly to the inventory when killed (if not bought)
. (just in case, as it's weird that From didn't make the same as with other NPCs with important items)
  • Inward now drops one humanity (this was in his ItemLotParam, so I suppose it was intended)
  • Ringing the bell in Quelaag's Domain will make it sound for connected players in the same area (from Remastered)
  • Removed three floating flames and edited two related lightmaps in Catacombs
  • Corrected the position of three misplaced candle flames in Catacombs
  • Corrected the position of two misplaced Basilisks in the entrance of The Great Hollow (no more 400 free souls)
  • Added missing textures to the abyss around the Bed of Chaos fog door (from Remastered)
  • Removed the door floating in the sky of Duke's Archives
  • Overhauled the english translation files (more coherent structure)
. (changed some item names to better suited ones, for example: Armor of Artorias > Artorias's Armor)
. (removed all abbreviations in weapon names)
. (infusion names are abbreviated to the first letter, two in case of chaos infusion)
. (removed double punctuation and adjusted spacing in all button prompts)
. (added all missing "\n" at the beginning of item descriptions, except spells)    ... and more...

 TODO LIST
  • Fix Nito model to properly restore his breakable parts feature (it's unknown where breakable parts are defined)
  • Make Undead Parish elevator chains not visible from outside of the building (have to deal with DrawGroups)
  • Do something with the cut out Shiva event in the Painted World of Ariamis (it's a shame to leave it unused)
