is the intro cutscene supposed to have the text to speech voices? or is that one unchanged? not sure if I installed it wrong or that one is the same. the text works fine though
edit: ok yeah text to speech is working, didn't see a post on the forum saying it but yes, it does not work on the intro cutscene, cause I assume it's all 1 sound file and just text to speech without the music might be kinda fucky idk. still think it would have been fine tbh, but whatever, just read the intro outloud to yourself cause the subtitles are translated LUL
Where do I put the msg file? I tried putting it in the tex_override in dsfix file but no luck. All my text is something like ?Key? ID: 1000. Thanks if this is seen.
3 years later, but go to the sound and msg folders, delete the copies of the files which have .bak at their ends, rename the .bak files by removing the .bak. There are some in the texture file override area, check those against the files in the poorly translated UI file and remove them.
I am so confused by this mod, and I love it. I do have some questions, though.
What were all of the TTS voices made on? I'm interested in Vamos in spectacular, mainly because I could listen to him for days now, but I'm curious about the others as well. What TTS programs/voices were used?
Not sure if you still care but I think they were taken from the mac text to speech novelty voices. Vamos' voice is the pipe organs, you can hear them here https://youtu.be/Z4hqUxb9MmY?t=177.
when I put the msg folder to common/Dark Souls Prepare to Die Edition or common/Dark Souls Prepare to Die Edition/DATA I get no override query and the mod doesn't work. please help this is very important for my dark souls experience

edit: It seems to work if you place them in dsfix > tex_override.

I have no clue how to download them though.
