I have no idea to be honest because i've just recently learned how to edit dark souls files. try replacing the dvdbnd files if they're there and see if that works. Otherwise try putting the files in the unpacked version of dark souls pted. (I edited the files using wulf's tool and not Paramvessel which requires UDSFM)
Go to your root folders where you can find DarkSouls.exe and place the file there. you should get a prompt to replace files. back them up and then replace them and you should be good.
You can find the root files by going to the steam client > selecting Dark Souls > Properties > Local Files > Browse Local Files and then going into the DATA folder. if there is no DATA folder, just find where the DarkSouls.exe file is located and the files that needs replacing should be there
