Hey, so I noticed that when closing DSDAD the mod I "drag and dropped" into DSDAD needs to be dragged and dropped back when I reopen it. Am I doing something wrong? Or is this supposed to happen? I'm not sure if it'll affect my game in any way.

That's how it works. There are 2 alternatives though, in which you don't have to 'drag and drop' every single time:

      1. There is a folder called 'dadmod' within the gamefiles (in DATA), place the mods you'll always use there, and launch the game via DSDAD. The files from dadmod are always loaded.

      2. Save your mod setup. This should create a .stp file. Double click it, and make windows recognize it as a file format of DSDAD. Now once this is done, if you double click again, DSDAD will open, and will automatically load that .stp file.

      Hope this helps.

Would there be an option to work with folders instead of files?

Does the "Mod Manager" also work with DS3?

If not, is there a Mod Manager for DS3? I cant find one...

    Thank you!

Supposedly, one should limit DSFix to 300mb of texture override files, because the method it uses to inject them causes stuttering to increase the more you go over that limit.
Your mod description mentions you can use DSFix-style texture mods on it. Does your mod overcome this limit, as in use a different method to DSFix or circumvent the 300mb issue?

I get an Unhandled Exception message, and when i select to continue anyways and try to select dark souls from my desktop as the location, it says "Catastrophic Failure" this is my first time modding, brand new PC. any suggestions?

Edit: i also see on the Nexus site its Ver 1.0.5, but my download always shows it as 1.0.4

Hmmm, you might have chosen the game's shortcut instead of the actual exe file.
Try going to the gamefiles directory and select "DARKSOULS.exe".

Whenever I use DSDAD I will always get a 0xc0000142 error, that will take me multiple reinstalls to fix. I'm using Windows 10 with a... Davy Jones'd copy of the PTD edition.

Hi. Are there any UDSFM files, which doesn't work with this mod?
For example, will ffxbnd and luabnd files be treated properly?

or when you say "DCX" works it also means that any ***bnd file will work as well?

Any file you get from unpacking the archives works. Also any file that originally had a .dcx extentsion works as well.
So yes, basically any ***bnd file works.

Looks like the icon files, DATA/menu/menu.drb or DATA/menu/menu_4.tpf files are not applied by DSDAD for me. Can you confirm it, or I'm doing something wrong?
      /DATA/menu/ENGLISH/menu_local.tpf is applied fine meanwhile.
