About this mod
To mod sound in DS, you would usually have to patch dvdbnd0.bdt with modded fsb files or permanently extract game's sound folder for easier modding and hex edit DARKSOULS.exe to play sound out of it. This mod cuts out a few steps that by providing you with already extracted sound files and a already patched DARKSOULS.exe.

To mod sound in DS, you would usually patch dvdbnd0.bdt with modified fsb file or permanently extract sound folder from dvdbnd0.bdt, subsitute fsb within it and hex edit DARKSOULS.exe to play out of extracted folder. This mod cuts out a few steps that by providing you with already extracted sound files and a DARKSOULS.exe that's been patch to play them directly. You can then install any of your favorite sound mods by subbing directly the sound files in the sound folder.
Backup: ...\common\Dark Souls Prepare to Die Edition\DATA\DARKSOULS.exe
Place contents of mod Archive (the sound folder and the Patched DARKSOULS.exe) in: ...\common\Dark Souls Prepare to Die Edition\DATA
DIY Alternative:
If you prefer to patch DARKSOULS.EXE yourself in a hex editor, go to: 00D665F0 and change d.v.d.b.n.d.1.:./.s.o.u. n.d to d.v.d.r.o.o.t.:./.s.o.u. n.d (the dots here are null bits not periods). Sound folder can be extracted using Wulf2K's Demon's Souls BND File Extractor/Rebuilder.
