I'm using MULTI11-ElAMIGOS version (https://www.skidrowcodex.net/dark-souls-prepare-to-die-edition-multi11-elamigos/) just download one sc23593-DS PTDE file. You also need to download UltraISO to extract the "Dark Souls Prepare to Die Edition" file
Skidrowcodex link doesn't work. To add to that, that's an unsafe site according to r/CrackSupport... Will this not work with the Steamunlocked version? Tbf actually you might be using the version from ElAmigos, based on the name, and their site is actually trustworthy, I'd recommend others to download through ElAmigos.site

If your game still crashes after trying the steps above, it may be because you are using an older version of the game. here's how to update your game version to newer one: 1download "Dark Souls Config Utility" 2.Once extracted, open "DSCfgUtil.exe" and set the directory of your game. 3.Then go Game/Version/Switch version and change the version to the "Latest" one.
Follow the directions and add the file to the data folder. right click and add the new file to steam as a non steam game and run it from your steam library as if you were playing a game
