Anyone know how to make textures load faster or with less framedrops? Don't know if it's just a hud issue, but every time I die the framerate halves and this can only be undone by opening my menu or doing a backstap/reposte. Thanks.

Been using this texture mod for quite some time and I love it, and every-time I get summoned and someone is wearing the Elite Knight set they have this texture mod on.

    8/10, would probably summon.
Only complaint is the sun's slightly derpy looking and the straps behind the knee and calf should be leather.

Because some people might be new to texture modding and want to know how to get this function enabled, Here are very simple instructions.

If you have installed DSfix there is a file called dsfix.ini in your data folder for dark souls. Open it with notepad.

Look for the part which says enableTextureOverride 0 (it's just a little up from the bottom)

Change the 0 to 1. Unless you plan to make your own texture mods from scratch, then do not bother editing enableTextureDumping. Please note, this adds a delay to your loading screens if you have texture mods added.

    Save the file this way.

Go into the DSfix folder and you will find the folder tex_override

Just drag and drop ALL the png's from the texture mod you have downloaded into this folder. Done.

Needless to say, all this should be done while Dark Souls isn't on. After this is all done, go ahead and launch the game.

There will be a 4 second added load time to all of your save loading screens, including after death and after homeward bone or homeward miracle.

Enabling texture dumping adds another 4 seconds, so that's why I say don't bother with it unless you plan to make your own texture mods.

    Hope this helps someone.

Just wanted to come back and thank you again for the link you originally sent, this set is incredibly badass and fits well with the gameworld too. Like Hellsing said, fixing the sun (possibly increase the size a bit too?) would give that little extra bit of perfection to satiate peoples' OCD, and I would also look forward to the option of a worn version.

But seriously fantastic work, this is the /only/ thing that I have in my tex override folder currently. Your other stuff is really good as well, keep it up and I am definitely keeping my eyes open.

Originally I wanted to add some kind of fraying to the end of the cloak using transparency but as we now know that does not work. Admittedly I wasn't completely happy with it when I released it but I'd rather get it out than keep it to myself. I'll see what I can do about the wear and tear if I get around to it.

Absolutely fantastic, my favorite Elite Sunbro skin. (The only one!) But can you add more details like battle wear and tear? I also notice the sun is uneven at the lower left, but nothing to worry about. Very nice skin, made my Elite Knight Armour my primary. Endorsed.
