I looked at this comparison video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uCoP3X0jFEU) and I honestly think the modded version in almost all scenes wins over the Remastered, which brought me here. Only weird thing about that comparison video is that the dude lists mods that are already included with this + this one.
Anyways, looking forward to playing through with this now and currently downloading ptde on steam
I noticed, after a lot of trial and error, that something in the HD Weapons and Armor pack causes stuttering in-game. When I disable the weapons and armor re-texture, there is no stutter. Does anyone know why this is the case?
It is a known problem and one I am in the process of fixing, but I'll hold off on it to see if I can just redo the whole mod for the remaster when it comes out. Long and short of it is the way the game analyzes and applies textures is finicky and hard to pinpoint exactly, different parts of the mod cause stutters for different setups.
For example, the game does not cause stuttering to my rig when i run it so its hard to diagnose what textures need to be re-compressed/redone.
Once the remaster comes out updates to the mod will come, hopefully.
Yep that seems to have fixed the problem for me too. I'm slowly manually re-adding some of the mods that were apart of this pack to try and narrow down what the culprit is
Get anywhere on which of the weapon / armor textures was causing this issue?
As much as just waiting on the remaster for a complete overhaul seems appealing, some of us would rather not give From another $30+ for something that is exactly just a patch to the game...just like what happened to DS2: SotFS ( refused to buy that one too ).
And besides, many of the other mods haven't been updated for the remaster yet either ( like ReKindled ) ..and so It's just more practical to keep using the original game version for the better mod experience.
@author so now that remastered is almost one yo and it is kinda of a let down, are you still going to release the things you said you were in the process of fixing?

Thank you for this compilation, as it is exactly what I needed.
