I opened the files and noticed something.
Why the 4eebd047.dds tree seems missing a branch compared to these same exact versions?:
    - 30fef25a.dds
    - 407561a6.dds
    - ae451971.dds
Can I just overwrite it with one of the others, or is there a reason for that?

Let me show you PROPER comparison (for better look - right click/show picture):

1.vanilla - how is suppose to look without bug:

2.other "fix" - the color not match the surrounding or tree trunk, there is some cutted tree trunk sticking out of it.... (and btw thats exactly how bug looks like without any fix , minus texture would be twice lower resolution):

3.proper fix - looks exactly how vanilla without bug:

What do you mean by "proper fix"?
I'm asking this because there's another mod that fixes the same problem.
I'd like to know if there's an issue with that mod that this mod doesn't have, so I can decide whether I should change or not.

Thanks for asking about this. I must say i was really surprised no one notice this over more then 3 years and 66k dl...
I call it proper because it properly solving a problem, i research the bug and found the fix , and no - resizing wrong texture x2 was not a solution and the trees was looking as wrong as without it - just little less blurry.
Now with my fix , no matter what you do - if there will be loading screen (you use teleport/bone) or from how far you approach the area - the trees will look as they supposed to.

Hmm...interesting. Unfortunately I think it's kinda too late for the vast majority now, but I'm definitely switching.
Thanks a lot! Will Endorse when I can.

Your fix is definitely better, and thank you for it, but I would suggest you put some more info in the description explaining why yours is 'proper' and why it should be downloaded instead of the other tree LOD fix. If it wasn't for krongfah's question, I wouldn't have downloaded your mod. I'm sure a lot of people haven't bothered with it because there isn't much explanation in the main description. Maybe even a screenshot comparing your mod with Rennn's?

My mod is more accurate to vanilla, whereas this makes edits according to taste. This mod increases the saturation and such, and it's a matter of taste, but there's nothing "improper" about mine.

Sadly your fix is not even near vanilla , neither you still understand why its occurs (even after my explanation above).
Secondly , its not matter of taste as in my mod i dint not do anything to the textures ( not "increased saturation and such" ) because all work i put into this mod was figure out what a bug cause was and fix it properly ....
