The way I see us to get better attuned to using this mod is to organize what channels would be more appropriate for which task (PvP/PvE). The best way I see it is to separate the servers into 3 categories. For PvP we could have channels 1-5 specified for PvP but have each individual channel specified for areas (1-Anor Londo, 2-Painted World, etc.). Same thing goes for PvE, after we determine which channels should be PvP specific we can then determine which ones should be PvE specific. I really hope everyone can come together in this post and decide on what the community wants because I'm not organized myself to do it alone.
I recommend against using this tool for anything other than matching with specific people at set times. In other words, we shouldn't be trying to come up with a new channel for random matchmaking. Here's something I recently wrote about it-
I would actually recommend against doing this. The reason being is that this tool works much better for making instant connections for planned events (co-op, fight clubs). If you're planning on doing random meet ups, that involves waiting around to find people since it's uncoordinated, and if you're going to wait to find activity, it might as well happen in the main public channel where you'll find the most activity for random connections. So it's a bit better to keep using the default public channel (#7) for random connections, rather than split things up further.
I'm also reminded of trying to come up with a community password for Bloodborne, or a subreddit specific Name-Engraved Ring for Dark Souls 2. None of those ever really panned out and I think random connections are best done the old fashioned way. They wind up being more limiting than helping you find friends to play with.
i was cooping with my friends before this mod and we was just going to kill nito but then my side fucked over so i didint feel like playing dark souls 1 atm so i do what i usually do i check the nexus for mods when i am bored. so i saw this mod and well i was really sceptic about it but now when i have tried it i love it!!! it works like instantly. so i am so thankful for you making this mod man, if anyone is reading this i am usually on 12 or 15 so i want as many players as possible to go to this channels cos i do play this game solo and cooping with random peeps so i would love if some more people could go to these channels
