About this mod
Memento Mori is a complete enemy, inn, encounters, and effects overhaul - giving in a fresh breath to Darkest Dungeon 2. Nearly all enemy abilities and names have been changed to once again put your tactical abilities to a test. Mod also includes new inns and encounters. Note that the difficulty has been greatly raised, finish the base game first!

Memento Mori gives in a fresh breath to Darkest Dungeon 2. Almost all enemies, their names, resistances, abilities, and effects have been changed or empowered while keeping the grim RP-friendly aura around them. I've played around with the script for several months, getting rather exciting results out of the already available statuses and effects - have a look for yourself! The work began when only ACT I was available still!
This mod also includes completely changed inns, one new pillager type, different loathing effects, and a greater variety of encounters.
Note that the mod is set toward being a very difficult challenge for those who yearn to grasp more than what we can get from the base game. Most of the changes were bent towards increasing the danger and stopping you from reaching the mountain. Therefore, it's highly recommended to finish the base game first and get used to each and every mechanic thoroughly.
And yet... there's still hope in the vast landscape of darkness...
HOW TO INSTALL:
Extract the StreamingAssets to your Darkest Dungeon 2 folder and replace the already existing StreamingAssets folder with the one provided by the mod.
To revert this change and go back to the base game, delete the Excel and Localization folder inside the StreamingAssets folder, then verify your files or simply try to run the game via Epic Games Launcher, it'll automatically fill in the gaps as they used to be.
Example game path towards StreamingAssets:
F:\Epic Games\DarkestDungeonII\Darkest Dungeon II_Data <- (Place or extract the mod folder here, overwriting the vanilla files)
CHANGELOG:
-Ignited Blind Shaman can now properly use his abilities from spot 4.
-Immortality now properly works.
-WILBUR had his size adjusted to the encounter type.
-Inn names are still to be fixed with the visible code
