For those that are interested in using this mod and it doesn't work, it's because the game doesn't use the effects.darkest file anymore, it uses another file located in the effects folder called base.effects.darkest
I found a way of making the heal effect work but i wasn't able to change the tooltip in the item, to make the healing work, just open the base.effects.darkest file, do a CTRL + F and search for "Holy Water", delete the code line and after that paste this: //Holy Water effect: .name "holy_water" .target "performer" .item 1 .duration 3 .chance 100% .heal 10 .buff_ids holy_water_blight_resist holy_water_bleed_resist holy_water_disease_resist holy_water_debuff_resist
You can change the amount of healing you want by changing the number after the .heal command, i left 10 because it's the one that i feel it's more balanced, but it's up to you, and you can also add the healing effect to other items like Bandage for example, just add the .heal code + the healing amount on them.
Did a bunch of tests with it and it works on old save files, but i would recommend making a backup of both your save file and the effects.darkest file.
Thanks for the info. I was able to get this to work without the mod. However, I do have a question. I added .heal 10 and .healstress 25 to the holy water. For some reason the .healstrss command overwrites the .heal. Meaning the holy water only removes stress and never restores hit points. If I remove the .healstress entry, then the holy water heals the 10 HP as written. Are these 2 different effects not allowed to be combined?
Don't know if the mod is still supported, it contains old files that over write current ones, doesn't play well with other mods that use the same files.
Thank you for this! It's still working great.I would like to add a small (1 or 2 point) heal to bandages and am having no luck.I thought I'd try your method, but I couldn't find a references to bandages in the script effects. Then I tried to duplicate the heal that you get when eating provisions, but again, wasn't successful.Don't suppose you have any advice? :-)
Well. I downloaded and unzipped, and now have no clue what to do. There are like 4 folders and a a giant read me text with a lot of stuff that I simply don't understand, would you be so kind as to ELI5? Are there any instructions on how to do this? Thanks in advance, sorry, newb here.

I have seen that some mods only work depending on the lastest update and such
