About this mod
This mod beefs up your heroes without making them completely overpowered.
- Permissions and credits
This mod aims to give your heroes a boost in power without completely removing the game's challenging nature (Read: the game is still much easier). Currently this is done by editing the [hero]_info.darkest files.
Heroes' armour and weapons stats have been moderately increased, giving them more defencive stats to work with. Mostly this includes increased health and dodge chance, hero stats (resistances) have been increased (percentages vary from hero to hero).
Weapon damage has been increased as well, to a lesser degree, and crit chance has been increased. Some abilities have been tweaked to either give them more utility or increased damage scaling. Again, while this has been changed on all heroes the degree of changes varies from hero to hero.
Damage-over-time effects have not been changed. Curios have not been changed.
Installing:
On Windows:
Copy the files from the heroes folder to their respective folders in steam/steamapps/common/DarkestDungeon/data/heroes
On Mac:
Open up your Darkest Dungeon folder (right click it in Steam and select properties-> local files -> browse local files). osx -> right click on the darkest dungeon app and show package contents -> resources -> data -> heroes.
Always make sure to back up any files you're replacing or modifying.
