About this mod
A new class using jester animations and recolored sprites. The Reveler offers big single target damage, single and mass debuffing, and mass stress healing, but he is not as effective if he is not at Death's Door.
- Permissions and credits
The Reveler wants to be at Death's Door for the majority of his skills to work, and he doesn't get the usual debuffs for being there (morality and heart attack debuffs still apply). However his survival to the endgame cannot easily be guaranteed so this class is for the heavy of heart or the light of morals.
I used jester animation and recolored jester sprites for this mod because i cannot make my own. Also I didn't playtest much so i can't tell exactly how viable or powerful this class is, sooo you could treat it as an experiment :P. I appreciate any expressed opinions and suggestions as I could easily make revisions.
INSTALLATION:
First, copy each folder into the Darkest Dungeon game folder. Then, copy and paste the text under Effects from "Effects and Buffs to be added.txt" file to the end of the effects.darkest file in the scripts folder and run localization.bat in the localization folder as with most other class mods. IMPORTANT: Finally, regarding the buff_library.json file, you have 2 options:
1. if you are not using any other mods that modify this file you can just copy it over to the shared/buffs folder and replace (the only other mod that I personally have seen changing this file would be Pitch Black Dungeon, but other overhaul mods are likely to do that).
2. Otherwise, similarly to the effects, copy the text under Buffs from my "Effects and Buffs to be added.txt" file and paste it in the original buff_library.json in the shared/buffs folder (make a backup first) BUT not at the very end, instead paste it before the last 2 characters which are:] }and right after another}I recommend using a program like Notepad++ to make things easier, I have provided images to help with the process.
