Installing this mod allows you to randomly pick an "Immersion Roles" questline for your character, or choose which one you want to play, so you can have all of them installed at the same time.

What are Immersion Roles?
Immersion Roles are a novel concept created by JayH that give your character a short storyline to follow, adding roleplay depth to Daggerfall. It's intended for use alongside the Optional Main Quest mod, but it still pairs alright with Daggerfall's main story as well. Play with Random Starting Dungeon for bigger challenges!

What Immersion Roles are currently supported?
Right now, Random Immersion Role supports five roles at the time of writing, "Headhunter", "Noble Child", "Outlaw", "Vindicator", and "Escaped Slave". For more information on these roles, check out the Immersion Roles main mod page.

How do I install this mod?
Download the .zip file and place the Immersion Roles folder inside StreamingAssets/QuestPacks in your Daggerfall Unity installation folder. Make sure you DO NOT have the base version of Immersion Roles installed! I've repackaged all five Immersion Roles in this file with JayH's permission, and if you use both at the same time, I am not responsible for the weirdness that will happen!

What if I do already have one or more Immersion Roles installed?
The easiest way is to delete your installed Immersion Roles folders and simply use the Random Immersion Roles folder instead.

If you would like to only unzip the files you need, make sure all of your Immersion Roles quest files are in the same folder, delete the QuestList-Headhunter, QuestList-NobleChild, QuestList-Outlaw, QuestList-Vindicator, and QuestList-EscapedSlave .txt files, and extract the IRBackbone and QuestList-ImmersionRoles .txt files to that folder.

How do I update Immersion Roles if I have Random Immersion Roles installed?
Nominally I will keep this mod updated to match new versions of Immersion Roles, however I am only human. If this mod hasn't been updated to include the latest fixes for the immersion roles supported by it, simply merge and replace the new files into your Random Immersion Roles folder, making sure not to copy over any QuestList files.

Are there any known bugs?
The Escaped Slave rumors bug and sequence break have been fixed, so as far as Jay and I know, the quests are bug-free. If you encounter any troublesome bugs please tell either myself or Jay about them!

What about Cursed of Mephala?
Astute modders will notice that one Immersion Role is missing from RIR - the Cursed of Mephala role. This role forces the player to live with no use of town facilities, guilds, shops, etc, a very difficult proposition. Due to the nature of the role, despite requests, I will NOT be adding it to Random Immersion Roles. It is too difficult and punishing, IMHO, to simply spring on someone randomly. While I could add it as a choice-only role, I feel like tht would defeat the purpose of the randomizer. If you would like to play the Cursed of Mephala, please download it from the original mod page.
