Enable monster infighting in the DFU settings or this will not work properly.

Installation: Extract to /DaggerfallUnity_Data/StreamingAssets/ so it merges with your existing QuestPacks folder.

To uninstall: Delete BattleCreatures folder from your QuestPacks folder.

This mod will start automatically with a new character. For an existing character, copy the file battlecreaturesinit.txt to your /DaggerfallUnity_Data/StreamingAssets/Quests/ folder, and use the following console command in-game: startquest battlecreaturesinit

==============

Inspired by imsobadatnicknames' companion packs, with a smaller and more streamlined scope.

This mod will try to create a merchant every day in some tavern within your current city at about 2 AM in-game time. This merchant will randomly sell one of the following:

Imp gem, 1000 gold: allows you to summon three imps 3 times.
Gargoyle gem, 3500 gold: allows you to summon two gargoyles 3 times.
Daedra gem, 10,000 gold: allows you to summon two Frost Daedra 3 times.

You must pay in gold coins, not in letters of credit. Try to carry the precise gold amount. The "paygold" action in this quest is bugged, and will eat up your money if you have excess multiples of what's required.

The gems only last two weeks, so plan carefully. These creatures will stay in one place and defend you there. Use in dungeons, while camping in the wilderness, to flee from dangerous enemies, or anywhere else you need some back-up against a difficult foe.

You can find the merchant in your city by asking peasants for "Any news?" Make sure you've at least spent one night there, since the merchant gets spawned between 2 AM and 3:30 AM.

Note: not all quest foes have their infighting enabled, so these monsters may not be able to target them.
