About this mod

Adds randomly generated letters, notes, and other documents inside buildings.

Permissions and credits
This mod aims to make the world feel a little bit more alive by using the quest system to dynamically place documents the player can occassionally find and read inside randomly chosen buildings in cities, hamlets, and villages. Contains over 700 document templates, including:

  • Personal letters, notes, reminders, diary entries and more inside randomly selected NPC houses.
  • Notes from members of the city watch inside palaces and city walls.
  • Bookkeeping documents (sales reports, inventories, work orders, transaction ledgers) inside shops, banks, and taverns.
  • Coming sometime in the future: Letters and notes for specific guilds and temples.

Finding the notes has no mechanical effect or reward (none of the things mentioned in them corresponds with in-game events), they just exist to make NPCs seem a little more alive.

Due to the large number of different notes, I haven't been able to see all of them in-game, so there might be some mistakes I didn't catch such as mistmatched NPC names and pronouns or stuff like that. If you catch them, be sure to tell me about them.

Installation:
Unzip file inside StreamingAssets/QuestPacks
If you're starting a new game, it will automatically start working. Otherwise, you'll have to activate the mod by opening the console and entering the command "startquest ILN0"

Installation:
Delete the folder "Immersive Letters and Notes" from StreamingAssets/QuestPacks

Incompatibilities:
For some reason, Beautiful Cities of Daggerfall sometimes causes quests that use city walls (location type house7) as a quest location to fail to parse correctly, so it will sometimes prevent guard notes from appearing inside city walls. Everything else works correctly.
