About this mod

Simple comic effect reshade... Pretty light on system resources, but will impact performance slightly... I lose maybe 2-4FPS on average (8GB RX 480, Ryzen 3 2200G, 16GB RAM)...

Installation (for people new to ReShade):

  • Extract .zip file to main game install directory, then follow the steps in the video below (I also include extraction in the video)
  • Once Reshade is installed and you are in game, you should see a bar across the top of your screen telling you to press the "Home" key to start tutorial...
  • Press the "home" key on your keyboard, then click "Skip Tutorial"...
  • On the next window that opens, check the box at the bottom right corner to switch to "Performance Mode"...
  • Press the "Home" key again to close the window...

Installation (for people that have/want multiple presets in ReShade):

  • Extract to main game install folder...
  • Follow video steps, but click "Modify" when prompted instead of installing normally...
  • Press "Home" key in-game to bring up ReShade and select the preset at the top...

Uninstallation:
  • Delete the "CP77_ComicFX_Reshade.ini" file from your [Cyberpunk 2077>bin>x64] folder...
  • Optionally, uninstall Reshade by repeating the steps in the video (starting where I open Reshade) until prompted to uninstall... The option will only be there if it is installed...

Known Issues:
  • Affects text and UI elements... Can make it slightly harder to see certain button prompts and such... I tried to avoid this as much as possible while still having it affect the image in the way I want... This may be fixable at the cost of performance (by using other ReShade plugins, such as an AA solution, to clear it up)... I'll see what I can do and maybe upload it as an optional download at some point... Edit: Finally updated to reduce effect on UI elements...
  • Can see the outlines when the screen fades for transitions (such as for loading screens)... This doesn't really affect much gameplay-wise, just kinda weird... This can't be fixed as far as I'm aware... I'll probably try, though...
