If you run into a bug, please open a new GitHub issue. They are much easier to track & prioritize. Please provide as much information as possible, including version, steps to reproduce & which steps you've taken to try to fix the issue (if any are applicable). Please also attach one of your save files that are causing the issue.

    Thank you.

    F.A.Q.

    Q. I don't have any "Save Changes" button.

A: Right click CP2077SaveEditor.exe -> Properties -> 'Compatibility' tab -> Check 'Run this program in compatibility mode for' and set it to Windows 8 -> Apply. If that doesn't work, open config.json and change "SaveButtonPosition" to 1.

Q: Why is it asking about .NET?

A: v0.04a and above require .NET 5.0. If you don't have it, you can download it here. As of v0.10a_r1, this is no longer required.

Q: My antivirus says it's infected.

A: False positive. If you'd like, you can read all of the code & build from source over on GitHub. To build CyberCAT.Core from scratch, you'll also need the source from the CyberCAT dev branch.

Q: Nothing is showing for me on the Appearance tab.

A: Download "Appearance Previews" from the files, and extract the "previews" folder to the same location as the save editor. Your folder structure should look like this. (Don't install with Vortex, it most likely won't put it in the correct spot.)

Q: The game says my save is corrupted.

A: This is most often caused by user error. If you have manually created a new folder in the CP77 save directory, the game will always see that folder as corrupted unless you also copy a metadata file and a screenshot file into that folder.

If you're not sure how to do that, it's safest to overwrite an existing save slot instead of manually creating a new one.

Q: I'm getting an error when the editor is parsing/rebuilding.

A: Open config.json and change "EnablePSData" to 0, then restart the editor. If this does not resolve the error, please open a new bug report.

Note: PSData stands for Persistency System Data. It contains data on every dynamic object in the game world, as well as your unlocked vehicles & your character's gender. Due to its complexity, it is inherently prone to error. Disabling PSData will disable the following options in the editor:
    - Unlocked Vehicles
    - Body Gender

    Patch 1.3

Patch 1.3 has been released and has made several changes to internal game systems, so saves made on patch 1.3 will not be compatible with the current version of CyberCAT-SimpleGUI. A new game dump will be needed before CyberCAT.Core can be updated, so it may take some time.

EDIT 8/19/2021: A new game dump has been posted on the modding Discord, and there has been large changes to the save structure (more than there has been in any other patch), so it will likely take a while to get everything working again.

      Update

A temporary Patch 1.3 fix is now available as v0.10a_r1. This is not a real update, I've just disabled everything that was changed in Patch 1.3 until it can be properly updated. Make sure you back up your saves first. The following parsers have been disabled (the editor will simply not touch these sections of your save file):

      - PSData (Body Gender & Unlocked Vehicles)
      - Stats System (Inventory Item Stats & Additional Player Stats)

Note: DO NOT USE OLD PRESETS! A new head proxy system was added in patch 1.3, and old presets do not have the data for this system. If you load a preset from before Patch 1.3, it will break your character's head. Preset backwards-compatibility will be added in the full Patch 1.3 update.

    Hello,

My game saves are corrupted. Some photo mode functionality is no longer there (look at the camera). My neck tattoo is gone and my facial cyberware is gone too. When I start a new game this problem disappears. I also tried without CET and AMM, and without any mods and I still have these bugs with my save game edited by the Save Editor.

I am not criticizing, I am just informing you.

    Thank you!

Why can't we not make items legendary anymore? Returns an error each time. It's literally one of the editor's main features.

I get these weird lines all over the character if I change anything appearance wise. A part from that, it can be useful for everything else.

I have net 5.0 and I put enablepsdata 0, but it still gives an error when I change the gender of the character

Repeating my question, do we still get the achievements after editing our save file? i.e is it safe to use this program on our first playthrough?

Can someone answer please? I'd like to boost my stats and change my characters hair but I'm not sure if the game will treat it as cheating and lock me from getting achivs.

There's another mod on Nexus for romancing panam as fem V. It can't be done solely through save editing unfortunately.

The appearance changer is missing the data for beards - as in there's no facial hair folder in the previews and no option to change it. Is there a reason for this?

    Also:
"For example: To add extra damage to a weapon or extra armor to a piece of clothing, click on "New Constant" in its stats section. On the new window that pops up, put in "Additive" for the modifier, and "BaseDamage" or "Armor" for the stat (depending on which one you want), then enter how much you want for the value. Click "Apply and Close" and you're good to go."

Where is this section? There is no "stats" section. There is no "New Constant" to click anywhere that I can find at all anywhere in the editor.

On Beards - I got exhausted implementing all the appearance sliders (it takes a LOT of loading, saving & reloading to get all the data for those), and stopped short of fully finishing beards. The function for changing beard data is implemented, but the options are in the wrong order (and previews can't be generated without knowing the proper order.)

      If you put
      "EnableWIPFeatures": 1
in config.json, the editor will show the Beard & Beard Style sliders. (The sliders work properly, but as stated, the options are in the wrong order and there are no previews.)

On Stats - The stats system currently can't be edited on Patch 1.3+ (at least until CyberCAT.Core is updated).

Hi there is an update about ready for the save editor ? would really like to use it and the other features within the editor that are disabled. Do you think it'll be ready by the next patch update ?
