About this mod

This is a preset for V's apartment; their very first one in the Megabuilding at the start of the game. It's not got much of a theme, but I think it still looks cool. Got some neat Tech/Netrunner stuff in here :D You will need to download some mods to make it work, but it's pretty easy to set up. Have fun!

Hello! This is something I never really thought I'd be doing but here we are; an AMM preset for V's apartment. Whilst I did use 1 custom prop pack, which I will go into in a moment, the rest is all me. As in, this is my design. I wanted to make something that fit my current V (at the time I made the apartment) and after 20 or more hours I finished it. Posted some screenshots and people expressed interest in having it in their game, so here we are. PLEASE READ DESCRIPTION FOR REQUIRED AND RECCOMENDED MODS

This is a complete redesign of V's starter apartment. I have even redone the armoury; it is now a little Netrunner den with some first aid stuff- it's my favourite part of my design. Yes, this means if you have weapons that would show up on the wall there, they will clip through. You can still access the stash just fine, but I wanted to put this out there that this apartment does have a slight more Tech/Netrunner appeal.

First things first: I am not a Modder. I have no Modding experience. As such, I am not sure how much support I will be able to provide. I will do what I can, but please understand I am new to this and might not be able to help with complex issues.

Second: You WILL clip through things. And so will Johnny in his first appearance in V's apartment. I haven't accquired Nibbles yet but I have the iguana. You can pet the iguana and place the dish down for the egg, but you will clip through the furniture and props. I think there's an additional pack in AMM that gives props collision but I haven't checked that out. Also, things like the Roach Race reward box and the Militech box Meredith gives you will likely clip as well. Let me know as I only have the Militech box currently.

(There will be a space with a couple other boxes under the white shelves, on the right side of the apartment, which is where the Militech box sits once you get it. If clipping bothers you, I'm afraid there's not much I can do. If you send me a screenshot or leave a comment, I might be able to try reworking things. But again, I am not a modder, so no promises)

Third: Yes, as with any apartment preset, there may be crashes. I've found that overlays are a major issue; so turn off Steam overlays and don't try minimizing your game and going on to Discord whilst messing with AMM. Be aware that there will sometimes be crashes with AMM in general; it does alot of amazing things.

Fourth: The arcade machine used in the apartment seems to change from Roach Race to a bunch of the others. I am not sure why, do not know how to stop it from happening, and thus cannot help. It doesn't flicker and change whilst you're playing, but if you go back in and see that the game is no longer Roach Race, now you know why.

Fifth: As with all apartment presets, especially cluttered ones, there is the potential for lag. I know the holo strippers and such can contribute so if this is a huge issue I will try to remove them and upload an alternative file. But this seems to work fine for me and I haven't noticed any lag issues. As long as you have the reccomended memory for Cyberpunk your PC should handle it just fine.

Sixth: I built this apartment with my V in mind. Well, the one I was playing at the time. I used the White/Black Zebra colour scheme from 'Vs Apartment Renovation' when I initially built it. However, since then, I have started a new playthrough. And thus, haven't re-installed that colour scheme. Looks ok with the Default one, but I'll be including a pinned post in the comments to show you how an idea of it looks with the reccomended colour scheme.

This mod does have a fair few NSFW props as part of the Decor. And I mean this literally; I made a sculpture. I scaled up a dildo and stuck golden wings on it. You might be able to search for the items and delete them, but as I said I have no modding experience so I don't really know if that'd work. Plus why wouldn't you want a giant dildo statue? Or the holographic strippers? Again, I am fully serious.

YOU WILL NEED THE FOLLOWING MODS, WHICH I HAVEN'T INCLUDED AS I DON'T FEEL COMFORTABLE EVEN ATTEMPTING TO PACKAGE OTHER MODS INTO THIS (
Plus that'd be super rude of me):

Oh and please, please make sure to install manually. I do not use Vortex and likely never will. Please follow instructions on the mods to manually install these respective mods; it ensures files end up in the correct places.

AMM/AppearanceMenuMod and it's requirements. (HARD REQUIREMENT)

Cleaned Apartment; it gets rid of alot of junk and rubbish and essentially gives a blank slate. (HIGHLY RECCOMENDED, IF YOU DON'T DOWNLOAD THIS AND IT'S REQUIREMENTS, THERE MIGHT BE ISSUES WITH PROPS AND CONSUMABLE ITEMS CLIPPING TOGETHER, CAUSING ISSUES ETC)

V's Apartment Renovation; this allows you to choose a colour scheme for V's apartment before the option becomes available in-game. (HIGHLY RECCOMENDED; I CHOSE THE WHITE/BLACK ZEBRA VERSION. But you could choose any colour, this is just the one I chose to build from)

(PROPS) Treat Yourself (Makeup and Cosmetics); this is the 1 custom prop pack I used a few items from. It helped me finish the bathroom section. (HIGHLY RECCOMENDED; YOU WILL BE MISSING A FAIR AMOUNT OF ITEMS IF YOU DON'T INSTALL THIS)

Credit to MaximiliumM and CtrlAltDaz at the AMM team, Janecio14, and dimasnik who created the above mods. Again, please do manual installs and follow the guides on the respective mod pages.

I posted in the Modding discord to ask, and they said as long as I didn't repackage the mods into this release and instead offered links and guides to what I used, it'd be ok. Not that I'd even know how to package a mod like that, haha.

I have recently set up a Kofi page; if you'd like to support me and my mods:

AS FOR HOW TO INSTALL AND USE THIS APARTMENT PRESET:

If you've got all those mods installed and ready to go, here is what you need to do. Again, I am not a modder, I am going off of how I have tried other apartment presets available on the Nexus- as well as how I've accessed my own files and backups.

Again, please install manually and follow these instructions.

1) Download this mod file.
(Yes, the file has a long name. It's as it is in my game. I didn't want to risk messing stuff up by renaming the file)
2) Follow this guide to get to the right folder:

- Bin
- x64
- Plugins
- Cyber Engine Tweaks
- Mods
- Appearance Menu Mod
- User
- Decor

3) Put a copy of this mod in that Decor folder. I'd also reccomend going into the Decor sections 'Backup' folder and placing another copy of this mod there, just to be safe.

4) Load up your game, in Vs apartment, and go into Appearance Menu Mod.

5) I personally check the 'Experimental/Fun Stuff' option in the list, but that's something for you to decide as it is as the bit says; experimental. Please exercise caution.

6) Go into the 'Decor' tab.

7) Go to 'Presets'.

8) You should be able to click on that, and choose the apartment preset from the drop-down menu.

9) It might take a sec, but everything should show up.

10) Enjoy!
