You know what ? I could play this all day all night and all day again. If you allowed leverage and short options. Dont even need to go out and do anything related to stocks. DAMN Traders would give an arm and a leg for a Full window or wall sized chart with some puts and calls or Limit orders to sell and buy at specific prices
Overall, it's a great mod and the creator did a fantastic job. However, be cautious, as the creator of this mod decided to include a FUCKING SPOILER. When logging into the stock market, instead of typing 'V' in the name section, the character automatically types his name. Even in the images on this page, the creater of this mod reveals the female V's name.
its not a spoiler dummy, the full name is just a cool little thing cus some people are prolly wondering. You either find out through the internet, discord, officially (pretty early in the story tbh) OR this :3
This person is correct, those disagreeing are being disingenuous. I only started playing this game recently, I've absolutely not turned every rock or even fully completed the main story. I had no idea what 'V' meant and had not encountered any of this information the other commentators assert exists. To me, V was an ambiguous nickname that let me project on the character or devise my own story. My FIRST interaction with the name "Valerie" was this mod, and I hated it. I'm annoyed by it, I'm annoyed that I learned it from a mods fake log in screen, I am annoyed that someone's stock market app login is their first name, and I'm annoyed that I'm reminded of it every time I use this feature. I regret installing it before finding this information organically and I am annoyed at that feeling of regret because installing the mod was a mistake I couldn't possibly have foreseen.
It's probably the ONLY part of the mod I dislike so far. I'd LOVE to change it to ANYTHING else, even a random string of letters. That said, love this mod and definitely won't play without it.
The idea for the mod is great, it's technically well executed, but 1 thing really keeps it from being a "must-have". I just started a new run and decided to make some money by grinding out NCPD scanner hustles and investing all the profits back into that stock over and over. But I ran into an issue where I got to badlands and saw my investments vaporize because instead of 1 minute between hustles it started taking me ~3-4 minutes which made it nearly impossible to keep up. And I think it's a bit ridiculous that a stock can react to me killing 5 gangoons per 30 ingame minutes as opposed to 5 gangoons per 10 ingame minutes. It should be more "the more you do, the more stock goes up, but if you slack off it normalizes". I read people do the same for budget arms with disassembling and selling guns, so it seems like the mod needs it's stock update timers heavily tweaked. P. S. This basically forced you to install the computer anywhere mod and ADHD check the stock after every hustle, which I guess is accurate to 2077. Maybe that's why corpo V had a stock HUD so they can sell that s#*! before it's too late at any moment.
Lovely mod if you want to cheese some eddies, but it seems very buggy. Stock prices keep resetting spontaneously. Hint: Put all your money into Budget Arms, collect an inventory full of weapons and then sell or disassemble them. The stock will eventually spike with over +100%, quickly sell all your stock before the price resets (which will be on the next update tick). I don't think that the price of a stock going from 30 to 100 back to 30 all within a tick of each other is intended behavior, maybe try smoothing out the normalization speed a bit. It would also be great if some of the stocks paid daily dividends, so the mod would have more depth than daytrading or market manipulation and would give you some regular flow of eddies. Love the news system.
This is sort of related to this fine mod... Which mod, or, how to add more space in the browser for all of the tabs to fully show? Right now, on V's home browser page, the Stock Market and News tab is 3/4 hidden on the right side of the screen.
No idea how difficult it would be to implement, but it would be pretty amazing if you could slide a functional stock tracker to the hud like Corpo V has in the intro.
Tip: Fast travel will cause freight and Night Corp stock to rise quickly. It is recommended to sell in advance between +50-100%. Because the stock price will "reset" after a period of time (resulting in negative returns even though the stock price rises) You can also lower the stock price by attacking the police first and then buy. Then increase the stock price by solving NCPD bounties. And Night City ETF will almost never fall
Yeah, it may be set that when you reload or after a period of time, the stock price will return to the "default range", causing the stock to rise but still have negative returns. This defies logic
Love that you made this but I do have request. Please remove the auto scroll on hover for the stocks page. it's SUPER ULTRA MEGA ANNOYING (Cringe but gets my point across) to have your stocks list continuously scrolling down when your trying to read the description of whatever stock you are trying to read up on. Not to mention the description ONLY SHOWS WHEN YOU HOVER. What kind of ass backwards design is this?
This may be an issue you're having unrelated to this mod. The only "Auto Scroll" I experience in the Stocks menu is when the list refreshes every 5 mins or so. The list does not move on its own, only when i scroll down the list with the mousewheel. The description also does not move or scroll when I hover over individual stocks.
This might be due to drift in your controller, if you have one. Certain parts of the UI seem to be extremely sensitive. I get drift on maps and sliders, if the numbers on the slider (for example AMMO) is high enough.

Pick one.
Tho it would have been interesting for the different V's to use different logins, like "NC770416" for Corpo V.

Cheers.
Go grab Browser Extension and follow the instructions/updates/configuration steps there, and you can move all those other tabs to websites.
