ABOUT
Kinematic ReShade is a preset designed entirely from scratch to adapt to Cyberpunk 2077, with the sole intention of immersing the player in a much more natural visual experience without overloading the computer resources.
ReShade, for those who do not know it, is a post-processing injection tool whose function is to improve, in real time, the graphic section by means of shaders, code elements compiled by third parties, treating each of the frames generated in order to set the changes assigned by the preset.
The settings have been carefully established to offer a more realistic image by carrying out modifications in aspects such as color and lighting, along with other enhancement effects.
Initially I felt that the color palette used in the game was quite artificial, and this made me not to get fully into its world, it was as if Night City was more a picturesque city than the degraded city full of crime and cyberware that accompanies us. So, I got to work to graduate the exposure, saturation and color tonality in order to make more believable the cold and dirty environments in which the game takes place.
I have intensified the contrast between lights and shadows in honor of the particular futuristic features of Nigh City, achieving a darker atmosphere and highlighting the little natural light that reaches it more surprising, without forgetting to further enhance the lighting from neon lights, billboards and street lighting that abound in its streets. The effect is completed thanks to the ocular adaptation included in the game that generates a visual transition effect to adapt to light or darkness.
Last but not least, I have added small depth and sharpness elements that imperceptibly enhance the resulting image.
NOTES
The preset uses the following shaders in the following order. It is of vital importance not to change this order to avoid generating undesirable effects
and to check that all of them are active:
Although the preset will consume very little of your computer's resources, it is recommended that you activate ReShade's performance mode to optimize the frames per second during your games.
Do not use oversaturated or overdefined monitor profiles, use a standard or default mode, which is generally the default on most monitors. The preset has been created using an oled screen as a reference for color and brightness changes. While it is true that each model and brand varies in settings, it is impossible for everyone to get the same result. However, setting a standard monitor preset and a neutral color temperature is the best result to best approximate the changes made.
INSTALL
If you already have the tool installed, check that the shaders shown above are active. If any of them are missing, the best thing to do is to reinstate ReShade and let the tool do the work for you.

- Download the ReShade tool and the preset unzipping it where you want
- Start installing Reshade and select Cyberpunk 2077 in the game list
- Load the preset and let the tool download the collections with the necessary shaders.
- Start the game and follow the brief initial setup steps in the window that appears.
