You do not have a poor 6700K CPU, I've got a 7200U intel processor and your mod reduced the stress on my CPU thank you, PS am using an HP ProBook450 G4 laptop with a 2GB dedicated Nvidia 930MX GPU with an upgraded 8GB RAM totals at 16GB. Your PC may need to be further optimized like my laptop, like removal of transparency on Windows, setting advanced display settings to performance, use 3rd party tools to optimize your PC further.
If you have such a drop in FPS outside of V's apartment --> 20 Fps Note: The following applies to all games on your PC If you are on PC, it is mainly linked to: ---> your graphics management settings in Windows 10 It's a mini nuclear power plant in terms of configuration^^
I'm not in High quality Low or medium quality on settings (I fiddled for 3 hours to find the right compromise) No Ray-tracing The game is particularly beautiful. No flickering No jerking
Outside V's apartment I have between 45 & 60 Fps With vanilla traffic A real living city I am amazed by it.
CD Project Red does a good & great job. Its IG graphics engine is efficient & optimised.
But you just have to provide it with VRAM space He has a tuff job to do! GPU VRAM = Less disk access = Less Exhange CPU/GPU=FPS Good ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Beware Padawan More Mods would add you FPS more you'll eat
SO : Save a character in town on a balcony In a game without MOD Note the average FPS
Install your Mods one by one (for those who add meaningful stuff)
Load your FPS Test save possibly equip the new items of the Mod Check the impact on your FPS
Some mods = 0 FPS loss Others = 10 in FPS loss.... Lol...
oh my god this is perfect for driving around with a custom radio playing in background and just enjoying an empty night city to your heart content! thank you
This definitely works. I gained significant fps. But at what cost? Is there a setting reduce the cars (like there is one for npcs) rather than remove them entirely?
i desperately want to remove them fake cars, or at least push them really really far back but everything ive tweaked has done nothing, if anyone ever figures it out can they DM me please, i despise those fake cars.
1-How could I increase the distance so that they take longer to disappear?
2-when I look back the cars have disappeared
3-some cars appear to me suddenly and I don't even have time to dodge them
and although it has nothing to do with this I also want increase the reflections of the water since with the wet road I see the cut all the time on the ground and it looks very bad
ok cool, i just placed this folder into my data directory, and i did notice that it gets rid of most cars, there are still cars within the world, but it's a bit of an improvement on what it was before, that area is still shitty when it comes to stabilization, but at least it's a bit better than it was.
yeah, that apartment is a s#*! show for sure lol, even with this last update of the game with all of it's fixes. this area of the game is still very heavy, i went on steam and suggested that maybe for this one area, is to convert the apartment complex into it's own cell, because holy s#*!! the fps are the elephant in the room that needs to be shot down ASAP!.
also the load screen doesn't need to be the kind where you just look at some pictures while the game loads, it can be the kind of load screen where it tricks the player into thinking they walked into the elevator and are waiting for the elevator to get to their destination, and before you know it. you are within a cell with amazing stable fps, and it will also improve the fps outside the cell as well, because suddenly this area wouldn't exist within the night city space.
but getting rid of cars will do it as well, and that's much easier to do.

I plan on fiddling a bit more down the line. See if I can get rid of the fake vehicles in the distance at the very least

He explains a few more things on his page(like how some values may be able to be changed in the .ini but ultimately don't take effect)
