PHANTOM LIBERTY CHANGED THE WAY SKILLS/PERKS ARE CALCULATED. IF YOU ARE WALKING SLOW/SLOWER AFTER 2.0 USING THIS MOD, IT MEANS YOU ARE OVERCUMBERED AND HAVE NOT UPDATED YOUR BUILD TO BE ABLE TO CARRY EVERYTHING. DUMP YOUR INVENTORY BEFORE COMING HERE TO REPORT ISSUES.

IF YOU HAVE UNINSTALLED/REINSTALLED THE GAME (AND REMOVED ALL MODS) AND *SOMETHING* IS MESSED UP, I CAN ASSURE IT WAS *NOT* CAUSED BY THIS MOD.

(DEVELOPMENT ON HOLD *INDEFINITELY* UNTIL I CAN BE BOTHERED TO DIVE INTO THE CODE)

Have you ever been walking down the streets of Night City, and want to see how fly your new shoes or boots look when you walk?

That's right, you are sliding as you walk!

Natural Walk Speed aims to improve this by slowing down the walk speed to a lower value and greatly reduce the sliding you witness.

Now whenever you decide to check out your fly shoes, V will be walking at a more natural pace with very little foot sliding, no more skating! You also no longer outpace citizens on the sidewalk and NPCs during walking sections of a mission when using the walk key.

It is a small change but one I felt is necessary as the sliding/skating was off-putting and immersion breaking, at least for me so if you don't ever feel the desire to check out your feet when you walk or you're not bothered about outpacing NPCs, this mod might not be for you.

Requires the latest CyberEngineTweaks: check Requirements for latest CET release.

Changelog:
v1.0 - Initial upload
v1.2 - Added and tweaked another value as a potential fix for getting stuck on stairs

Installation:
The mod is pre-structured, simply extract the zip to your main install location.
GOG example: C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG Galaxy\Games\Cyberpunk 2077

DEVELOPMENT ON HOLD DUE TO IRL STUFF. USE WORKAROUNDS BELOW OR FEEL FREE TO EDIT THE VALUES TO YOUR DESIRED NUMBERS (easy to do, open up the init file and gently raise the values till your comfortable) BUT *PLEASE* DO NOT REUPLOAD.

KNOWN ISSUES (please read):
Major:
- Because this mod also affects your crouch movement speed as they seemingly use the same record/tweak, I do not know of a way to unshackle them from one another.
Cause: Walking speed is shackled to crouch speed values.
Workaround: I am trying to think of ways to fix this for people who don't like the slower crouch speed, I'm new to coding and mods so this might take a while, if you are an experienced CyberEngineTweaks modder, please send help! ^_^

- Movement can be blocked in some places, this is due to environment geometry, I'm testing these areas as reports come in, please post a comment with any and all places that you experience this so I can keep testing.
Cause: Environment geometry.
Workaround: When toggled into walk speed and you get stuck, move slightly left or right (if MnK quickly tap left or right movement key and it should let you keep walking forward.

Minor:

- Jittery animation when walking backwards down stairs (but no one does that in real life so not a major concern, will still try to fix regardless!) and along flat surfaces.
Cause: Going forwards then immediately backwards without stopping can cause V to jitter, this is a vanilla issue and happens even when not in walk mode, there is nothing I can do about this yet.
Workaround: None. Don't look down when walking forwards then immediately backwards.

- When toggled in walk mode, using V's scanner or holding the aim key will cause them to move at the normal walking speed.
Cause: Different TweakDB values are used for aim-walking, I can't find values for scanner mode, scanner mode and aim-walk might be shackled together.
Workaround: None. I don't really want to touch these values as this will affect the flow of combat but will play around with the values to see if I can at least change the scanner mode walk speed to match Natural Walk Speed.

Huge thanks to:
Scissors123454321 for telling where the value I needed would be!
E3roKK for telling me to change "Record" to "Flat" so my mod would actually work!
The CyberEngineTweaks team for providing the tools needed to make this change!
And of course, the team at CDPR for making Cyberpunk 2077!
