Hey all! Really happy that people are enjoying the station!
I'm in the process of looking over more music to add - but I've also been able to rip all the files relating to Citadel Newsnet broadcasts (aka the long elevator ride exposition dumps and terminals) from all three games.
Would adding some of these in be a cool and immersive way to make the station feel more real? Or would you rather just have banging tunes? Let me know!
Just a note to anyone that the custom icon file is in the wrong place in the file structure for this mod. It is in archive/ but it should be in archive/pc/mod - so be sure to put that in the right place after you download.
That's something I'm unsure about. I have Edgerunners Radio installed, somehow both mine and their mod icons are compatible in my game but I'm not sure how else it works. Might have to talk with the RadioExt mod creator to see if there's a way for multiple icons to exist in the same folder!
Hey, love this mod! As an FYI, custom icons for RadioExt can now be specified with an inkatlas path, here: https://github.com/justarandomguyintheinternet/CP77_radioExt#custom-icon
I was going to have it once Starfield is released that Night City is on a planet owned by Ryujin Industries having the same thing going on as the planet's environment is delicate and the city made up of people easily duped into a so-called utopian dream that Night City once promised before the political shitstorm came with the corpos and ruined everything. Suddenly if they can get off planet, they have options across the galaxy leaving behind this planet as a failed dystopian experiment. The music of mass effect may not fit the dystopian climate of the game but from that perspective it makes it more believable.
Hey, I've been trying to create a custom icon using the tutorial, but the generated xbm file is blank even when using the .tga and the .png file with WolvenKit. I saw your post in discord and I wonder how did you make your mine work.
I think the issue I had was that the .tga would somehow become corrupted before generating it as an xbm - I just re-downloaded the tutorial file again, and instead of using paint.net to make the icon I used photoshop and just placed my transparent .png into the tga and saved.
It's finnicky for whatever reason, still not sure why - but hopefully that helps!
Well played sir good job, i was just wondering how do you make custom icons? i need a custom icon template for my own radio station i created but can't find a template anywhere.
I'm considering adding more tracks, specifically ones from Shepard's Cabin/Citadel DLC - so I might end up throwing at least one version of Uncharted Worlds in there.. just not sure if it fits the CP2077 vibe for me. Will have to find out!
Definitely feels that way! Some of the music choices feel right at home when played through Pocket Radio, especially in the denser zones of Night City. Glad you like it!
