Changelogs
Version 1.1
Fix for the Stinger given by Mitch retaining the original appearance.
Version 1.0
Initial release
Stinger is an Iconic knife that looks awfully unremarkable. The only change is making the carbon fibre grip a flat grey, which is such a small change that I never noticed until I made this mod. It currently changes the appearance to the neurotoxin knife partially added in patch 1.5 and implemented in patch 1.6, and will eventually feature some extra appearances.
Install like any other CET mod.
Known issues:
In testing I have found the mod might not apply to any existing Stingers owned. If it bothers you, you can get yourself a new one with the console command Game.AddToInventory("Items.Preset_Knife_Stinger", 1) appending _Epic or _Legendary to the end of the item name as necessary, or simply upgrading the rarity of your current one if possible. The appearance should, however, revert if the mod is uninstalled. The problem here was that the initial Rare Stinger given by Mitch is technically a distinct item from the Rare Stinger one would likely get via console commands, this has been fixed.
The HUD icon for the weapon remains the default knife icon.
The thrown knife remains the default knife.
To-do:
Make a proper reskin
Create an alternate version that is a skin of the default model
