About this mod

The original leather pants we saw E3 Female V wearing in the 48 Minute Gameplay Trailer. Now includes an ArchiveXL version with a proper icon.

***WHAT'S NEW (UPDATES)***

  • Touched-Up Icon (v3.1): Re-did the icon for the female leather pants.
  • Gender-Dependant Item (v3.0): Huge thanks to manavortex for his wiki tutorials that showed me how to finally create gendered preview icons. The latest version can now be equipped on Male PCs - but it will look nothing like the female variant. I used the gray cargo pants we saw in the original Cosplay Concepts / Character Art. The item AND its icon will now change depending on the player character's gender.

Everyone who plays Cyberpunk 2077 remembers the Original Female V we saw in the 48 Minute Gameplay Trailer. E3 V used to wear a very distinctive pair of leather pants. What might surprise most people (or at least me) is that the leather pants from the E3 trailer actually still exist in the game's files.

To be clear, I'm not talking about the "Racers" most of us have already found in the game that are all colours of the rainbow looking ridiculous. I mean the exact same 3D model seen above, with all the same pre-existing textures and fixtures, are already sitting there in the game's archives. Why these aren't actually in the game itself is something mortal minds aren't meant to understand.

These were actually featured in a ton of the game's concept art - including the Cosplay concept arts put together by Maul Cosplay and Maja Felicitas for CDPR. If you're a sucker for old concept art material like me, then this should definitely be a selling point.

DONATIONS GREATLY APPRECIATED

I just set this all up a minute ago. It all feels very awkward. If you like my content, donations would be greatly appreciated. If not, I understand. This is just a free-time hobby.

ArchiveXL / TweakXL VS. SINGLE ITEM REPLACER

This item was originally a simple model swap. Later on, I started playing around with the WolvenKit and found a way to change one AND ONLY one item in a set and this became a "Single Item Replacer." After finally joining the rest of the CP2077 modders about a year late, I turned this into an ArchiveXL/TweakXL mod. As of v3.0, you can now equip this item on Male PCs—BUT IT WILL NOT LOOK ANYTHING LIKE THE FEMALE VARIANT.

The original Maul Cosplay Concept Art and the artbook character concepts show Female V wearing the leather racer pants and Male V wearing gray cargo pants, so I went and used the base-game Media Set Cargo Pants as a male variant. I only did this because I personally can't stand having Male / Female V exclusive mods that can't be equipped when you switch characters. Huge thanks to manavortex for his wiki tutorials that showed me how to finally create gendered preview icons. The icon on this item will now change depending on the player character's gender.

I'm leaving the Single Item Replacer version up in case anyone wants to turn the starting female prologue pants into the E3 pants. Otherwise, I'd recommend the updated version.

INSTRUCTIONS & USAGE

INSTALLATION:
  • Install the required mods listed above.
  • Copy the "r6" and the "archive" (or "mods" depending on which version you're using) folders directly into your Cyberpunk 2077 directory.

TO GET THE PANTS IN-GAME:
*Open the CET console and type in Game.AddToInventory("Items.Q001_Pants_Original",1)
*Download and install the Virtual Atelier I made that includes this item if you'd rather not enter the console commands.

***If you'd rather replace Female V's starting leather pants (AND ONLY THOSE PANTS), download Version 2.0 instead of 2.1+***

SHOWCASE VIDEO

If anyone wants to see what this looks like in-game, I had this godawful idea it might be fun to try and make a showcase video for this:

SHOWCASE VIDEO: SINGLE ITEM REPLACER

If you were confused by my bumbling write-up about "single item replacement", then watch the 2nd last segment of this video (3:49). I used the same method for both mods:

ORIGINAL FEMALE V CHARACTER CREATION

If anyone wants to see how to recreate the original female V I used in the screenshots, there's also a video:
