Time to get weird. Modder, is it possible to conjure a mod disabling the new Radoport feature. For some of us, having the radio station not turn off when exiting the car is super immersion breaking. Even in a cyber future where i can stream bluetooth into my brain, i would NOT want the music to continue when I exit a vehicle. Hell in present day California I never put on headphones until i've assessed my surroundings after exiting a vehicle to absorb the environment a bit first. Also in Cyberpunk theres a lot of subtle ambiance, I actually prefer the sounds of Night City more than listening to music when im walking.
I dont think its a bad feature (this mod or the 2.1 version), but theres quite a few of us that dont want it to be compulsory. Having an ON/OFF slider on Radioport shouldnt have been that outlandish a thing for the devs to add. Instead of players can now listen to radio in foot, its now players WILL listen to radio on foot unless they manually mute or turn it off. Then theyll have to unmute or turn back on when re-entereing a vehicle. Its annoying :(
This mod has a on/off function for the Radioport. https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/10006 I haven't had time to test it yet, and it's also an experimental version.
I've got the radio volume set to 0%, but I still get annoyed that I've turned it off about 20 times now and it keeps turning itself back on. I don't listen to the in-game radio ANYWHER, but it keeps forcibly turning itself back on. Heck, I shoot any radios I find just lying around in the wild. I've tried doing the same with speakers, but those big speakers are invincible, can't be turned off, and don't even need to be powered by anything.

How? Audioware ear implants are stated to exist in this universe, and it's a given that they'd be capable of interfacing with any modern car's radio, allowing the driver to continue listening to what they were listening to in the car. How is the idea of being able to do that in a technologically advanced future where most people are cyborgs immersion breaking?
So bizarre, what some people consider immersive and not immersive in games these days...
1. does this work with the radioext mod? the mod that allows new radio stations to be added?
2. can this mod make it so when the entire radio is out of songs(this happens in custom radioext mods), it loops them. by default it causes it to switch to the next radio station
3. is the battle muting of the radio a smooth fade out or is it an abrupt 1 - 0?
I was having issues with the radio working as well. After some testing i figured out "JB - TPP MOD WIP third person" was breaking the radio and once removed it worked like a charm. Also to note, I do use "Immersive First Person" and the radio works fine.
do you mean immersive first person? is that going to conflict with this? i uninstalled better vehicle first person because it was behaving weirdly but i don't think ill be able to get rid of immersive first person.
I had issues with radioport only working on metro. A lot of people talking about third person mod being the issue and deleting it worked for them. I never had it installed so not my issue don't think. I downloaded pockt radio played around with controller binding in steam. So now im playing radio through pocket radio but it looks like im using radioport. Hope this helps someone. So pocket radio for the win for me. Thx.
This mod was a mainstay in my playthroughs up until 2.1. You gave me the freeroaming experience i craved for the longest time from this game. Thanks for all your hard work! o7

this should fix that.
