I'm posting this so hopefully I can simplify what the mod author was trying to explain in the instructions for this mod. I'll try to make it as short as possible. 4 Steps.
Summary
What the author is saying sounds very overcomplicated because of how early the mod was released but all you have to do after downloading the file is choose between the the "Joined Pants and Shoes" or "Separate Pants and Shoes" folders, open one, and select ONE file from each of the numbered folders (top to bottom) whilst using the pictures he provided on the mod page to choose the color combinations you want for the pants and shoes. Then put each file you chose into \Cyberpunk2077\archive\pc\mod.
Spawn the "replacer" item/s you chose in-game with the CET commands in the mod description. THATS IT.
Explanation
1.
So basically you'll see once you open either the "Joined Pants and shoes" or "Separate Pants and shoes" folders in the file you downloaded the author put each part of the set in numerical order from...
0 through 6 for the "Joined" install as well as 0 through 4 for "Pants" and 0 through 2 for "Shoes" in the "Separate" install
(I RECOMMEND "JOINED PANTS AND SHOES" FOLDER BECAUSE IT WILL PROBABLY BE EASIER FOR MOST PEOPLE)
2.
CHOOSE WHICH EVER FOLDER...
THEN PICK 1 FILE FROM EACH NUMBERED SUB FOLDER GOING FROM TOP TO BOTTOM
(0-6 for "Joined Pants and Shoes" and 0-4 "Pants" then 0-2 "Shoes" for "Separate Pants and Shoes").
USING THE IMAGES ON THE MOD PAGE TO CUSTOMIZE.
3.
You should have 7 .archive files in total if you chose the "Joined Pants and shoes" folder. Just put your 7 total files in \Cyberpunk2077\archive\pc\mod then start the game.
If you picked the "Separate Pants and shoes" folder then you should have 8 .archive files in total. Just put your 8 total files in \Cyberpunk2077\archive\pc\mod then start the game.
4.
Once in-game open CET and use the commands in the description of the mod to spawn which ever item/s YOU chose to replace into your inventory.
---------------------------------------------------------------Extra Info if needed---------------------------------------------------------------
"JOINED PANTS AND SHOES" FOLDER
The items in the "Joined" folder will only replace one of the pants OR one the shoes that you choose in the folder titled "0 Replacer" with the entire set.
So for example lets say you chose "Clothing_StreetNinjaFullF_0_Replacer_Feet_BootsCowboy" from the "0 replacer" folder, that means in-game those cowboy boots (which you can spawn in using the CET command) will show the whole ninja outfit, pants and shoes.
THE WHOLE OUTFIT WILL BE VISIBLE ON JUST THE FEET SLOT IN YOUR INVENTORY in this particular example since we chose the cowboy boots.
"SEPARATE PANTS AND SHOES" FOLDER
The items in the "Separate" folder will replace one of the pants AND one the shoes that you choose in the folder titled "0 Replacer" in each respective sub-folder ("Pants" folder and "Shoes" folder) with both pieces of the set.
So for example lets say you chose "Clothing_StreetNinjaPantsF_0_Replacer_Legs_PantsJohnny" from the "0 replacer" folder inside the "Pants" folder, that means in-game Johnny's pants (which you can spawn in using the CET command) will show the ninja pants of the outfit.
Afterwards (for example) you open the "Shoes" folder and choose "Clothing_StreetNinjaShoesF_0_Replacer_Feet_ShoesJohnny" from the "0 replacer" folder, that means in-game Johnny's shoes (which you can spawn in using the CET command) will show the ninja shoes of the outfit.
THE OUTFIT WILL BE VISIBLE ON THE LEGS AND FEET SLOT IN YOUR INVENTORY. SO YOU WILL HAVE 2 PIECES OF THE OUTFIT THAT CAN BE WORN SEPARATELY TO MIX AND MATCH OR TOGETHER TO COMPLETE THE OUTFIT in this particular example since we chose Johnny's pants and boots.
idk, figure out and install based author intructions in 5 mins, to be honest I didnt releazed from start what is the diff between joined and separated, but once I enter the game to check I get insight. For simple mod users I can agree that might be complicated, but better have such variations ability to mix each peace then having just some 2, 3 varians.
p.s checked on 2.0 game version, still everything working, using "legacy" method mod installing
To add onto this, to make it easier to others, you can use Vortex (install from file method) or other mod managers to handle this mod as well. Just make sure when you pick your customisations, that you move the picked options and take it to the root mod folder. {VORTEX HANDLED LOCATION}\cyberpunk2077\Street Ninja Pants and Shoes - Modular-2821-1-0-1623960351\archive\pc\mod End result should look like this:
Dude... why is this so hard to install when literally EVERYTHING ELSE on this site is one click and it works? Why not also use Virtual Atelier for a shop as well???
Because we were figuring out how all this stuff works when this came out. Look at the date and how old this is. Mods like VA didn't exist then. We had no idea how to add new items to the games item/prop archives yet. Mods like Tweak/ArchiveXL weren't out and are not just some simple code, they're very complex and have to be in order to work with the engine and do things that at the surface, people think are relatively mundane or simple. Its one click and then done now, it wasn't then.
I just wanted to ask for clarification but would it be possible to mix and match colors from all the different items? From what I read it seems that is the case but I just wanted to ask to make sure before I broke the mod.
Edit - I must not have done it correctly, I got the items but the items were the original game items not the modded ones. I'll keep trying though.
